The Black Series 6" Collectors Are Bad People And Here Is Why

I have thought of something that I hope our readers will interpret as a good idea. I also hope Hasbro will consider it a good idea as well. Although Hasbro will likely catch this request here, I will be asking them when I see them at Toy Fair. We all know the wondrous joy Marvel fans feel when it comes to their 6″ line. On top of great-looking figures and a release schedule that nearly doubles Star Wars, they ALSO get a Build A Figure option. We have learned over time that because of licensing fees and cost this isn’t a feasible option for the Star Wars line. BUT. What if Hasbro could reach back into their catalog and redo the portraits, and Lord knows MOST need a redo, utilizing “photorealistic” technology and add these updated head sculpts as a pack-in premium for future The Black Series 6″ lines? Hasbro could also implement a Fans’ Choice poll with fan sites they maintain a relationship with for figures that are in the most desperate need for these updates. The tooling is done, so cost shouldn’t be a huge issue. Plus, it would be a great customer relations thing if Hasbro were able to implement this for the premium collector line. Also, would you be willing to pay and extra $1 or $2 to get these portraits updated? So, what do you think? Your thoughts in the comments, please.
