The community saw a spike in sales when Hasbro announced that they decided to include an exclusive carded version of Yak Face in the Barge earlier this year. But when they revealed the price of the Imperial Combat Assault Tank, many members of the Star Wars collecting community cried out in horror over the steep price. However, they quickly followed up asking “does that price include a figure?” (more….)
So this brings us to the TVC Imperial TIE Fighter Walmart exclusive, just revealed recently. A worthy return that many collectors new and old will be happy to see again (albeit being an exclusive). But what does this mean going forward?
Has Hasbro seen the value of including a pack-in pilot with their vehicles?
Are the higher prices for vehicles easier to justify with a figure included?
How would TVC collectors feel about this going forward? Especially if they begin to include an “exclusive” figure? Would this encourage you to buy more vehicles for the figure?
Should the figure be carded and numbered or loose?
We’ve seen the exclusive pack-in figures in both the basic figure line and 6″ line. How has that affected your buying preferences? If you have the choice of an included pack-in figure or not, then sound off in the comments below.
