Behind The Scenes Look At Star Wars Galaxy's Edge

The YouTube Disney Parks channel released a behind the scenes video for the upcoming Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge attraction on Christmas. The video gives a good overview about some of the things you can expect. Click through for more details!

The video gives a first glimpse of some of the attractions and what exactly the visitor can expect. First of all, Galaxy’s Edge is centered around the sequel era, which should be of no surprise really, but anyone hoping to meet Darth Vader or the Rebels and Empire might be somewhat disappointed, at least when we talk about the rides and attractions. Instead, the attractions will give you the possibility to be a member of the Resistance, fighting the First Order, and you’ll encounter Kylo Ren. The attraction is aptly called “Rise of the Resistance”.

The Millennium Falcon cockpit used for the ride seems to have six seats. As was noted before this cockpit is NOT in the actual Falcon prop, you will most likely not be able to even board the Millennium Falcon standing outside the attraction. Instead, the attraction will have several cockpits and the video makes it clear that up to six people will share a cockpit, so it’s somewhat bigger than the “real” cockpit.

The Falcon on display would not be able to handle the masses of visitors anyway, or you’d have to probably wait for days and weeks until it’s your turn to board it.

Also, Galaxy’s Edge is scheduled to open in summer 2019 in Disneyland and Fall 2019 in Walt Disney World. Be prepared to stand in line for a long, long time to enter a galaxy far, far away!
