Ok, so here’s a riddle! JTA regular Darth Rizzen went to a local toyshop in France and scanned a Star Wars product to see how much it costs. You can see the result pictured below: 16 euros, which is a little more than 18 USD.
Now… what product do you think was scanned by Monsieur Rizzen? A discounted vehicle? A discounted Black Series Figure (Finn? Jyn?) Click through for the solution!
Drumroll please….
and the solution is:
Galaxy of Adventures figures!
Now, at this point you’ve got to ask yourself if Hasbro actually wants to make business in Europe or if Star Wars merchandise in Europe is part of some scam, tax evasion scheme or just an elaborate joke.
And Hasbro wonders why revenue in Europe is down…
Dear Hasbro: whatever distributor you use, whoever sets prices for your products in Europe should seriously undergo a reality check. No sane person should (and will) ever buy a cheap 5 POA toy for 16 euros ($18+).
Thanks to Darth Rizzen for his valiant effort and courage to venture into Star Wars toyland in Europe! I hope your sanity stayed intact!
