There were some announcements during the Star Wars Collectors panel, here companies such as Hot Toys, Kotobukiya or Diamond Select reveal their new products! Click through for a quick list of what was revealed!
So what is new?
Hot Toys merely showed what they revealed previously, the Sith Trooper and the Solo version of Darth Maul.
Diamond Select (Gentle Giant) showed several new things as well, a Rey statue of her sitting in front of her AT-AT. then there will be an all new Luke Skywalker statue as he stares into the the twin sunset on Tatooine (only a render was shown).
Furthermore, there will be a Grand Moff Tarkin Mini Bust and a Kenner Jumbo C-3PO Figure (ESB version). His limbs can be removed and he also comes with a carry bag. The Jumbo line will continue, there will be a Bespin Leia and more figures will follow after her. According to DST there is a small, but very devoted fanbase for the figures. Next, a DST “Legends in 3D Dimensions” line (half-scale busts) is newly announced with a TIE Fighter Pilot, Darth Maul, and Darth Vader making the start. Only sketches were shown here.
DST will also produce the figures Gentle Giant was about to make, before the acquisition, so nothing is cancelled here.
EFX Collectibles also revealed several new items, a Boba Fett replica helmet from ESB, an AT-ST diecast replica, custom studio replica models of Slave I, an OT Star Destroyer and Darth Vader’s Tie Fighter, a Stormtrooper concept art helmet and a limited edition Darth Vader “pyre” helmet from The Force Awakens. Additonally they will also release new Saga Collection lightsaber hilts, OT comes first, then PT hilts will come and finally ST sabers.
Kotobukiya also revealed several new collectibles, among them quite a few ARTFX statues, Luke Skywalker (X-wing), a Stormtrooper, a TROS Sith Trooper 2-pack and a Rey and Kylo Ren in the Arist Series, which are stylized versions of the characters. Only renders were shown for most of the figures. Here’s a photo of the Sith Troopers:
And if you have a lot of money, then Regal Robot also has a few things on offer, among them the ultimate office / desk chair for all wannabe Emperors:
One company was conspicuously absent this year, Sideshow Collectibles. Rumor is that they may pull out of Star Wars and no longer want the license. Nothing official is known, however. So make of their absence what you will.
