We recently bought our first house, and finally I was able to get some shelf space to set up a couple dioramas. In addition, my mom brought over the rest of my stuff from her house (much to her relief and my wife’s chagrin). I also finished up a custom figure from The Mandalorian! I almost was done with this custom figure last week, but wasn’t able to get the bandolier done in time. IG-11 from The Mandalorian was a great character and an awesome iteration of the assassin droid series. Unfortunately, the Vintage Collection line hasn’t gotten the same support as the Black Series line when it comes to Mandalorian figures being available when the show first came out. But, luckily for me, with some store credit at a local Bookman’s, a bit of luck, and some paint, I now can add IG-11 to my collection. The bandoliers are faux leather stitched together with press-molded greeblies. Here is a picture of him next to IG-88.
Next I wanted to share a couple photos of the dioramas I was able to set up. One is heavily influenced by the latest episode of the Mandalorian.
I’ve since added a few boxes and crates here and there to flesh out the dioramas. It’s really nice to have some space again.
Lastly I have a shot of some of the stuff my mom brought me. Luckily I was able to consolidate everything and empty one of 3 boxes. Now I just need to find some space to store it… These ships were my childhood, though. One of my favorite toys is the Trade Federation Fighters. So simple, but such a fun toy. Last I checked they can be had for very cheap on the aftermarket. It’s small, but I really liked the playability as a kid.
That’s it for my week in Star Wars! Let’s see yours in the comments below!
