This is NOT an endorsement or a suggestion to order, but this eBay seller has the Jabba’s Palace Adventure Playset for $15.99 and FREE shipping from China. And they’ve sold a ton of them so far. Something is rotten in Denmark, huh?
It’s time to add the massive Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna) to our Visual Guides! We have a massive Visual Guide prepared for this amazing vehicle, and have also added quite a few extras for this guide, including an additional gallery featuring many of our favorite viewer submissions that were uploaded to our New Acquistion page. After checking out our slide gallery, be sure to scroll down and check out the rest of the additional information and gallery images (including unboxing images). And, of course, don’t forget to stop by our review to join the full discussion on this vehicle.
Pro Tip: When viewing our Visual Guides, double-click on the slide to open up the viewer in full-screen mode, then use the arrows on your keyboard to scroll through the gallery.
The Saga Collection included a reissue of Obi-Wan’s Jedi Starfighter. It was a wise choice for a reissued vehicle. See more in our Research Droids Reviews today! As always, you can also send your review requests via email if you’d like to see something that we didn’t cover yet.
You can grab The Black Series [Phase III] General Grievous at GameStop.com right now. He’s listed at $34.99. However, if you can wait you can also still pre-order this at Entertainment Earth for $29.99, which lists an April ship date. Thanks to all that wrote in to let us know.
If you pre-ordered the Walmart exclusive TVC Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard) figure, your credit card is probably going through quite a workout, probably while you’re reading this post. JTA reader and friend Josh M. alerts us to the horror that your orders from Walmart online are getting authorized every single day for the figures on your orders. I checked my credit card, and the same thing happened to me. Walmart customer service doesn’t understand what’s happening fully as my customer service experience was different and they actually tried to defend the multiple holds. When will this stop? When your card has no more credit for the authorizations?? Read Josh’s online chat below as he had better success than I did.
UPDATE: I got ahold of the Walmart Resolution Team (800-966-6546) and they were able to work with their Billing Department and get the extra authorizations removed from my credit card.
The Saga Collection included a reissue of Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced x1 Starfighter. But they should have retooled it instead. See more in our Research Droids Reviews today! If you think that the updated “photorealistic” technology is the only thing that sets apart the 2019 version of Han Solo (Echo Base [Echo Base Outfit]) (VC03) from the original 2010 release, you’re in for some surprises. Almost a full decade sets the figures apart from each other, and there is more you need to know.
Han Solo (Echo Base [Echo Base Outfit]) (VC03) is another popular review in our RDRs. We’ve spent hours updating the Photo Gallery (which now sports 64 images and a wealth of comparison shots), updating text and new Editor’s and Collector Notes and now Packaging Variations! These reviews are updated to educate you on all the newness this figure brings to the table. Click the image below for the full experience! Make sure you’re aware of all of the changes!

With special thanks to JTA reader coreworld, we have a first look at the Walmart exclusive Jabbas Palace Adventure set. It looks fantastic. Sadly, Han Solo did not receive “photorealistic” technology. That is a huge disappointment, but he looks worlds better than the TBS [P2] release. Click the images below to check it out. And leave your thoughts in our comments!
The Clone Wars [Blue] ARC-170 Fighter was a Toys R Us exclusive. It sadly slipped by many collectors. Find out more about this exclusive release in our Research Droids Reviews today! With a full cast narrating this new audio production, this could harken back to the old Audio Drama’s from the ’80s. Full details by the official Del Rey page:
Star Wars Dooku: Jedi Lost, our first audio original production. Written by Cavan Scott, it follows the tale of Sith Apprentice, Asajj Ventress as she takes on a mission to uncover the secrets of her master Count Dooku.
Narrated by Marc Thompson with other vocal performances by a full cast, the recording promises to deliver an epic exploration of a new chapter in Dooku’s story.
It is an audio-only project (for now), but if you’ve never stepped into a Star Wars audiobook, this is a great place to start.
Preorder on audio platforms will be up soon, the audio is on sale April 30th, in just 1 month.

They are an official and fully licensed Celebration exclusive, which can only be obtained at our panels. And each comes with a special mini-medallion, inspired by the vintage Kenner Power of the Force coins! We even got the same company to produce them for us!
All you need to do is attend any of the Collecting Track panels in room W474 at Celebration to receive yours! Absolutely free! Collect all 20!
A few hours ago a poster for Star Wars Episode IX was leaked on the internet. So without much further ado either click through to look at the poster, or stay away from this article!
Today I want to revisit a topic I talked about here on JTA several months ago: the pillars of the Star Wars franchise and the importance of collectors, and especially hardcore collectors, for the overall financial success of Star Wars. As you may remember, the article from 2018 showed that more than 45% of the alltime Star Wars revenue was made with toys. Today I want to better quantify the importance of hardcore collectors and why neither Hasbro nor Disney can afford to ignore them. So click through for an explanation as to why exactly hardcore collectors are so important.
Holy cow. The former Toys R Us exclusive C-3PO/R2-D2 Force Link 2.0 pack that was saved by Entertainment Earth is now canceled. eBay might be your only option for this at this point. This is a shame because it is the most beautiful thing in the entire Solo line. Thanks to JTA reader and friend Josh M. for the alert.
UPDATE: This item is also available on Amazon for $14.99 Prime
Let’s return to the Clone Wars and check out Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi Starfighter. It’s pretty cool and the focus of our Research Droids Reviews today! Cutting edge minting techniques create the Ultra High Relief which allows the image to rise much higher than the face of the coin – creating a striking image of the Millennium Falcon taking flight. Not only does this process add more depth to the coin’s design, but it also adds a deeper, brighter luster, ensuring every millimeter of the intricate design shines through.
In case you missed it, we’ve added a new and vital category to The Vintage Collection figures’ Collector Notes. Right now, this new addition to the RDRs focuses on the figures Hasbro is reissuing and updating in the secondary phase of the line. Just like the vintage Kenner lines, figures are released on multiple card backs. We want to carry the importance of these figures’ packaging forward into TVC too. Many figures have received multiple card back releases already, so it’s time to start documenting them. You’ll now see under Collector Notes a Packaging Details section which highlights all of the card back variations that exist for the figure at hand, including assortment numbers, UPCs and the original MSRP and release date. It functions as a miniature gallery. We hope this new tool helps you with your collecting needs: Search wave 1 and wave 3 figures for the updated reissues.
Let’s check out another STAR TOURS figure. G2-4T has a much, much longer name. Do you know what it is? Find out in our Research Droids Reviews today! It’s not the latest version with “photorealistic” technology, but you can get the popular Luke Skywalker (Endor Capture) figure on eBay loose for $13.99.
Our friends at Bantha Skull have reached out to Litzky PR to lock down a time when the international supply of Jabba’s Sail Barge goes up for order on eBay. Please note, orders of more than 1 Barge or any orders with a US or Canadian shipping address will not be processed.” Click the image below for a direct link to the auction page.
If you think that the updated “photorealistic” technology is the only thing that sets apart the 2019 version of Princess Leia Organa (Hoth) (VC02) from the original 2010 release, you’re in for some surprises. Last year, while working our butts off to help get the Sail Barge fully backed, we posted an article on how international collectors could order it via MyUs.com. Those who pre-ordered the Sail Barge internationally through this service were able to place it under US address. (It’s one of their many services.) Well, JTA reader Packo M. took advantage of this service, and his Sail Barge arrived in excellent condition. Check out his full story by clicking through.

StarWars.com has previewed the exclusives for Star Wars Celebration! Check them out!
Well, this should be interesting. If you are attending Celebration, and you want to attend a major panel, you will need to basically win the lottery. Standing in line at Celebration panels is one of the biggest time-sucks known to Star Wars fandom. Will this fix the problem? In my experience, solutions to problems like this often end up having all-new problems of their own. I think they would be better off reserving half the seating for this type of lottery and let the other half be for the die-hards who want to stand in line all night. Click here for full details! Celebration is just a few weeks away! I hope to see some of you JTA fans there!
It’s time to start stalking The Vintage Collection Imperial TIE Fighter Walmart exclusive vehicle. It’s beginning to get marked down at brick and mortar, and Brickseek is showing lower prices too. Special thanks to JTA reader and friend Mark for the alert!

One year after the Walt Disney Co. announced the $71.3 billion merger, it’s official. The deal, which closed Wednesday at 12:02 a.m. Eastern time, reshapes the media landscape and makes Disney an even greater entertainment behemoth. In bolstering its trove of characters and stories, the acquisition also puts Disney in a stronger position to take on Netflix and other streaming companies when it launches its own service, Disney+, later this year. (more….)

The dust has mostly settled with Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna). Those who received damaged product are set to receive a replacement. Orders are placed for missing parts. And Hasbro is organizing all the damage to Yak Face to see what can be done with those issues. But one thing I cannot understand is some people criticizing those who are selling their “extras” for profit. The criticism is beginning to boil over now. (more….)
If you’re going to customize a $500 toy, you’d better do it right. Empire Toy Works posted photos of his sail barge, the Highfalutin. This custom hits it out of the park, in my opinion. Empire Toy Works is an inspiration to my own customizing, though, so I may be a bit biased. Rotgut Station is the dream world of collectors like me who love a really good diorama. Be sure to click the Instagram link to see more photos of this wonderful ship, and let us know in the comments if you think this is stunning, or sacrilege.

There’s a strong possibility that you don’t know The Saga Collection TIE Fighter Toys R Us exclusive exists. Or if you do know about it, you might think it’s just a straight repack of the one released the year before it. You”d be wrong on both accounts. Did you also know it had a concurrent variation? This blink-and-you-miss-it Toys R Us exclusive is an incredible release thanks to its stunning paint job and beautiful packaging. Learn more about it in our Research Droids Reviews today! SH Figuarts released their overall 4th (and possibly final) Obi-Wan Kenobi figure in February. It took a little while until my figure finally arrived from Japan, but now that I have the Revenge of the Sith version of Obi-Wan it’s time to take a (very) quick look at it. So click through for my overall thoughts and a few photos!
JTA reader George S. contacted Hasbro’s customer service about the impending “international release” of Jabba’s Sail Barge. And hopefully, it will comfort international collectors desperate to obtain this vehicle in their collections. It’s exclusionary to the people who already had a chance to grab them. At first glance, you might think they didn’t design the jail cell door from the Barge very well. It seems to only open just enough to be annoying. But, if you try just a bit harder, and carefully apply a little more subtle force when opening it, you will see that the cell door actually opens all the way. This gives you full access to the entire cell. So, go open up the door and have a look around! Thanks to Dave over at Rebelscum for the heads up!
JTA is proud to announce our third series of large format trading cards (3.5″x5.25″)! These will be handed out each day at Celebration Chicago this April. Details on when and where you can pick up the Series 3 cards will be announced as we get closer to the event. This set follows our hugely popular Series 1 and Series 2 sets that we handed out at Celebration Europe and Celebration Anaheim. As always, attendees of the event can stop by and pick these up for free! Stay tuned for more details! Can’t make it to Celebration? We also have the entire set available for pre-order in our store, as well as Series 1 & 2.
Five Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard) figures are available early from Taiwan if you feel like taking the chance.
Here is the eBay listing for the HasLab Jabba’s Sail Barge from hasbro-pulse eBay seller.
UPDATE: I don’t know what to think of this eBay auction anymore. At least you can’t order these, so no one is in danger of a scam. But this is odd.
JTA reader Ed D. found a listing on his eBay application for Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna) under eBay seller Hasbro-pulse. They don’t have any listings when you search by seller, but it looks like this going for sale online is imminent.

If you’re quick, the Walmart exclusive TVC Stormtrooper (Mimban) figure is back in stock! Special thanks to JTA reader Justin V. for the alert!
Getting through “Barge Week” was arduous, but it was well worth it. Now that we got that out of the way, we wanted to redirect your attention to a set Hasbro produced over a decade ago that is essential to help complement your Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna). During 2008’s The Legacy Collection run, Hasbro released the Battle At The Sarlacc Pit Battle Packs set. It gave us our first-ever 3.75″ version of the Sarlacc Pit. It also included a repainted Skiff and five pack-in figures with the worst paint jobs we’ve ever seen. We’ve revisited the review with a massive 120-image gallery, revised text in the review and an Editor’s Note which explains that we do have a Sail Barge now. Anyway, please check out the new images, and see why you may want to consider this for your collection if you don’t have it!

Let’s take a look at the Clone Trooper (With Speeder Bike) from the Clone Wars line. It’s NOT a straight repack of the Star Wars “Saga” release. In fact, it’s nearly an all-new release. This once European, and now US online, exclusive (?) is starting to show up overseas (Hong Kong). Our friends over at JediBusiness have posted some photos from Facebook detailing the wonderfully printed faces of these figures. One thing we weren’t sure about was whether Darth Vader received the photoreal treatment, but wonder no more! Find the answer here.
Strictly speaking from an “oversight” perspective, it appears the only important detail Hasbro missed on Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna) is the rope swing Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia used to swing from the sail barge to the get-away skiff. How could they miss this crucial detail? That’s like leave out the bubble wand from the vintage Kenner Death Star playset!
It’s the ides of March, but we’ve got nothing but good news to share. Hasbro released the most-perfect item for all Star Wars collectors. It’s finally in our possessions now. And as if in almost perfect serendipity: today is our 3,583rd review. The “83” represents 1983, the year of Return Of The Jedi. And the “35” represents the number of years it took Hasbro to announce that they would make Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna) in The Vintage Collection from the release of the film (2018).

And the winner is…. Luke Skywalker (Dagobah). It’s interesting a figure that’s been in development for quite some time ends up being the winner of the Fans’ Choice Poll. Congratulations to all who won!
While Brickseek isn’t always reliable when it comes to inventory quantities, it’s usually pretty good in letting you know the price of an item in store (if it’s there at all…). It looks like Walmart has begun marking down Vintage Collection figures. Most stores in my area are $9.87. Let us know if you find figures at a lower price point in the comments!
The headline of this article pretty much sums up what I think The Vintage Collection would say right now if it could speak. As someone who doesn’t swear, nor condones swearing, I apologize for the “crude” expression, but I can’t think of any other metaphorical saying that suits The Vintage Collection better. (more…)
Let’s keep the focus on Return Of The Jedi going! Today is an awesome anniversary! Twenty-two years ago today, the Return Of The Jedi Special Edition was released in theaters. And if you were lucky, your local theater offered the Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) (Theater Edition) give-away figure. Find out more about this exclusive release in our Research Droids Reviews today! JTA reader coreworld got his paws on the new TARGET exclusive TVC Han Solo (Stormtrooper) figure. It is sublime. The head sculpt is fantastic, and he even tried it on the Han Solo (Bespin Outfit) figure. “Hi Paul. I have just received the new Han Solo Stormtrooper figure and I’m blown away by the face sculpt/printing! He looks awesome. I have tried the head on vintage Bespin Han which does sit a little higher than it should, however it will not fit on the VOTC ANH Han body without serious modding as that figures ball socket is too large. Keep up the good work!”

With all the excitement surrounding Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna), I wanted to remind you that we did take an intense look at The Black Series [Phase III] wave 20 figures. I would also like to thank my local friends Jared and Dan from (Philly’s Star Wars) Sinister Six Bounty Hunters Collective for loaning me their figures to shoot for our RDRs and VGs for our readers! This was a tough wave to locate for me. If you missed any, click the image below so you can catch up on this fantastic wave of figures!
Walmart is sending out email updates to their exclusive The Vintage Collection Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard)Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard) figure. It has a new availability date of April 1st and is expected to arriving at doorsteps around April 16th.
Wow. We expected MUCH MORE from the TBS6 [P3] General Grievous 6″ figure. It’s a huge disappointment. Learn why in our Research Droids Reviews today! I’m late getting the review up today, but in case you weren’t aware yet, General Grievous comes with a new numbering convention: D1 for the Deluxe line. I wonder what the Gamorrean Guard’s and Moloch’s excuses are?
Thank you, Rivesjunctionite for the hearty laugh today. I am sure many fellow collectors can relate to your experience. If you want to offer some advice, please do so below or in our comments in the Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna) review! 🙂

There’s probably no other way to describe Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna) than to use words like overwhelming and exhilarated. This long-awaited HasLab product is finally here, and it’s probably the most significant thing Hasbro has ever created in the Star Wars line. I spent today writing a long review putting my heart on my sleeve and describing every last detail of this vehicle. We have more images coming in our already-completed 140+ photo gallery (more images will follow), but everything else is done, so we’re sharing it early with you. In the meantime, enjoy both vintage Kenner and modern Hasbro figures set up in this behemoth.
We also included full images and comparison shots of Jabba The Hutt in addition to the exclusive Yak Face.
If you didn’t back this item, and you’re a 3.75″ collector, you’re going to feel the pain of missing out. Hopefully, our review and gallery will allow you to enjoy it vicariously. I spent over 19 hours between assembling, the photo shoot, the gallery preparation and the review template and write-up. So, please leave your thoughts and opinions of this vehicle in the comments. It would help make up for the lost time I can’t get back 🙂 Thanks!
What is Captain Marvel doing on the front page of Jedi Temple Archives, you may ask. The reason is simple: the success of Captain Marvel is probably very good news for Disney and their Star Wars franchise. Which is why we may want to discuss how that is so. So click through for some thoughts about the fandom… and bubbles.

The Khetanna is making its way into homes daily! We thought this was a good time to revive and revamp our listing of figures you can use to populate your barge. We did some homework and compiled a list of characters you’ll need (that have been produced by Hasbro as an action figure already) with your Sail Barge. Click through to see a comprehensive list of existing Hasbro 3.75″ action figures required to effectively populate Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna)!

Wow! Between the frequent shipping nightmare reports and broken content complaints we’re receiving, here is something we bet you haven’t heard yet. JTA reader Grand Admiral Tom posts his horror in our Barge Acquisitions page. He didn’t get the coin to the Yak Face figure! Click the image below to check it out!
UPDATE: The coin was at the bottom of the box! It fell out during transit. Still, it’s a shame his Yak Face figure packaging was damaged. New image provided and added by Grand Admiral Tom in the comments.
We have another update to an older Visual Guide as our eatured guide tonight. Take a look at our update for the POTF2 [Red] Imperial Speeder Bike below. We also added this to our review database today. You can read our full review right here.
Check this out! eBay seller tunghori has listed a Mimban Stormtrooper “variant.” It’s missing all of its deco which leaves you with a slightly revised super-articulated Original Trilogy Stormtrooper. Is it a factory reject? Or is it part of a new exclusive release? They’re expensive, but it might be cool to have in your collection! Special thanks to JTA reader M. Nguyen for the alert!
Lord have mercy. These things are about 50% larger than I expected. Time to downsize! My Jabba’s Sail Barges arrived, two days earlier than expected!
The Imperial Speeder Bike was one of the first vehicles released in the modern Star Wars line, but how well does it hold up? See more in our Research Droids Reviews today! We are wrapping up our Visual Guides updates for wave 20 of The Black Series [Phase III]. The final figure we are adding to our Visual Guides is Vice Admiral Holdo (80). Click below to have a look at our guide page, and check out our review and disussion for this figure over in our review database.
SH Figuarts will release Yoda, based on his look in Revenge of the Sith, in late August 2019. Pre-orders are up already on some of the Japanese websites, others will follow shortly. Yoda is a web exclusive figure, which means he’s somewhat more expensive than a regular release and that aftermarket prices for him will be very high. Other SHF web exclusive Star Wars figures go for more than $200. So anyone who wants a prequel Yoda should absolutely pre-order. You have to pay in advance, however. There is a pre-order period of 3 months. Once pre-orders close you are out of luck and you have to resort to the aftermarket.
Yoda will come with three headsculpts, three cloak pieces, his Jedi council chair, his cane and his lightsaber. Click through for more pictures!
A lucky fellow by the name of Josh B. shared via instagram last night that their local Target stocked the pegs with the new Han Stormtrooper. The figure is supposed to have a street date of May 12th, so what witchery was used to purchase this, we can only guess. The face printing for Han looks quite wonderful, and notice the silver painted end-cap on the E-11 blaster (that very well may be a new/retooled mold). This figure was found in Orange County, CA.
We quote a line from Episode I “sort of” in our review of Vice Admiral Holdo. Terrible character or not, this gorgeous action figure won’t get the appreciation it deserves. And that’s sad. This might be the straw that will break the collector’s back. Jabba’s Sail Barges are arriving damaged. Look at the hashes on this box. There were whispers from the collecting community that FedEx was the worst choice to use for this campaign. Let’s hope this is an isolated incident. But many of us have yet to receive ours. IMages come from #WeBackedTheBarge Facebook group.

You certainly remember Mark Hamill’s remarks about The Last Jedi. How he was less than happy about the choices Rian Johnson made for the character of Luke Skywalker. Most famous is Mark Hamill’s remark that his character in The Last Jedi was not the Luke we know, but “Jake Skywalker”, someone else. Expect much less of these remarks leading up to Episode IX, however. In a recent interview Mark says that he vowed not to talk about the movies anymore, because it got him into trouble. Read more after the jump!
The Battle Droid is another fantastic release in The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ line. Should we expect a lot of future B1 battle droids in our collections now? What an amazing gift we’re getting with the Skiff Guard three-pack coming later this year in The Vintage Collection! It went over extremely well with the 3.75″ super-articulated crowd. So wouldn’t a second one be just as exciting? Imagine a set based on some additional villainous retinue from Jabba’s palace, Jabba’s sail barge, or the other skiff. It would be AMAZING!
The new The Vintage Collection “repacks” are on TARGET’s website too. Remember, all of the human-faced figures are updated with “photorealistic” technology. Currently, all figures are sold out. Eagle-eyed collectors will notice that the names on 75% of these changed from their original release in 2010. Click any image below to be taken to that figure’s product page. Special thanks to JTA reader Mark for the alert!
Cool! TARGET has once again put up the Retro Collection for pre-order. Special thanks to JTA reader Mark for the alert!
JTA broke the news that a 6″ Mace Windu was imminent in The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ line, and now he’s here. He might be Hasbro’s BEST EFFORT after the Gamorrean Guard. Every now and then I come across some really weird, odd or interesting Star Wars merchandise in my excursions to what our grandparents used to know as “retailers”, these places are kind of like Amazon, only you have to push a real shopping cart around or carry some actual bag or basket with your own hands and you have to put stuff in all by yourself and actually walk around using your own feet. Quaint, I know, anyway, this is not about retailers, this is about random Star Wars merchandise. And I found this Rey USB stick at a department store very recently. And I wondered: who wants a Star Wars USB stick? And who thought it’s a great idea to make Star Wars USB sticks? When I googled the company I found out they have a whole collection of them. There are close to 30 Star Wars USB sticks, covering all eras, there is Han and Chewie, Yoda, there are Clones, Admiral Ackbar even, but not Luke or Leia, however Poe, Kylo and C-3PO. Actually, they look kind of cutesy, well designed really, and might almost be collectibles all by themselves. But at 20 euros (or a little more than $20 on Amazon US) for each stick this is one very expensive collectible. Have you found any interesting, weird or funny Star Wars merchandise recently? Share it in the comments!
The TVC Stormtrooper (Mimban) has been showing up at retail across the U.S. in pretty high numbers lately, but if you haven’t been lucky enough to find it in the wild it’s back in stock at Walmart.com. Thanks to JTA reader Craig for the alert!

All of us went wild after the announcement Hasbro made at Toy Fair with regards to the Jabba’s Palace Adventure Playset. What a gift! Many of us also hoped the trend would continue. Wouldn’t it be amazing if Hasbro decided to make another set that adds onto the existing Jabba’s Palace Adventure Playset and also comes with two exclusive figures and perhaps a dais or barbecue spit? Or something?
As all of us know very well now, it’s happening! FedEx is gearing to ship out the overwhelming numbers of Jabba’s Sail Barges from Hasbro’s first successful HasLab campaign.
