We know what we’ve been told. Hasbro supposedly held back “a large percentage” of stuff to avoid spoilers for The Rise Of Skywalker for The Vintage Collection. (The same is true for The Black Serie [Phase III] 6″ line.) That’s why we were bombarded with over a dozen straight repacks over the summer. But the film is out. The spoilers are known. And yet, there are NO newly announced 3.75″ super-articulated action figures from the film announced. WHY? (more…)
What is the delay, Hasbro? Are you really going to wat for Toy Fair in February to announce these new figures? That’s insane! You have to keep the momentum going with this line. It cannot ebb and flow. The stimulation must be constant, and at the very least, consistent. Also, the first season of The Mandalorian wrapped. You have two HUGE Star Wars Entertainment properties from which you can announce new items that would not only be TIMELY but also appreciated. Come on. Let’s spill the beans!
Also, let’s not forget that there are nearly ZERO The Rise Of Skywalker items at retail for most areas. What gives?
I’m still irritated that Hasbro didn’t have an Emperor Palpatine figure ready in time for the film. And I don’t mean an Episode IX version. For YEARS, we’ve needed a definitive update to the character from Return Of The Jedi. The character was a Fans’ Choice Poll finalist too a couple of years ago (along with Saelt-Marae). But no, Hasbro ignores this main character like it’s an irrelevant figure to add to the line.
