Hello Toy Runners! We return to our regular weekly programming of Toy Run Tuesday, and today I have a couple photos of a custom figure I’m working on. You’ll get to see some behind the scenes photos of a more in-depth custom. It may be shocking to behold! Or not. Just click here to take a look for yourself.
I’ve wanted to make some Nightsisters for quite some time now. A few weeks back, reader MAHSMonster07 posted some of their customs using Boss Fight Studios figures. They looked phenomenal, and I’m glad I am finally getting around to making my own.
Now for the horrifying bit… I decided to use the ever-abundant TFA Rey figure as a base for my customs. The new figures are made with a hard plastic, so I had to go to town with an exacto and some pliers to split the hip piece and remove the lower legs. Unfortunately I left some residual red dye in the pot when I did the legs, so they ended up with a reddish hue that will need repainted anyway. It’s ok, it was an experiment anyway!
I still have a lot of work to do on this figure, but it’s been fun so far trying some different customizing techniques.
If you have some customs, or new finds this week for your collections, please share them in the comments below!
