Now that I live farther from the city I don’t get to go toy hunting nearly as often. I stop at Target near my employer, but that is about it. This last Saturday we went out as a family, and we stopped at a couple stores that have collectible sections. I got two new figures in the mail that I feel like I had been waiting on forever… And lastly I finished a custom of a character from the Visions anime. Take a look by clicking here.
I’ve had this stormtrooper and Lando on order for quite some time, and I’m happy they finally arrived! I have to say it, this Lando may be figure of the year for me. The only complaint is that the paint apps don’t go all the way around the shirt. Never did I think that we would get this amazing obscure Lando outfit. I know he’s labelled as a Battlefront II figure, but we all know it’s originally from Solo. Any opportunity taken to get one of the amazing designs from Solo into TVC is a huge win in my book.
Along with that mail call, I visited Bookman’s and Zia records here in Arizona over the weekend. It’s not often anymore I find a good in person score. I feel like more people nowadays realize the value of their own collectibles and prefer to sell them on eBay for more profit than taking them to a buy/sell/trade store. You can imagine my elation upon finding Nien Nunb (Legacy Collection) for only $6! They had some other good toys, but the only other ones I got were some Marvel 3.75 figures.
Lastly, I was commissioned to make F from Star Wars Visions anime. Her character is one of the more compelling in the anime short stories. I’m really pleased with how the soft goods turned out here.
Now it’s your turn! Please share your new toys in the comments below.
