It’s Friday, which means the Nielsen Streaming Charts have been updated. Just a few words today. Andor ratings have improved yet again a little with episode 7. Which was the standalone episode with Andor going on a vacation. It was 405 million minutes last week, and it’s 418 million minutes for episode 7 now. Which makes Andor the most watched Disney+ series, after She-Hulk ended. Andor drops to #9 in the charts though, because of the competition. So we have to see if Andor can maintain its top 10 position in the original series charts next week. However, Rings of Power should drop out of the top 10 next week, one week after the finale RoP is still good enough for position 5 with 570 million minutes, and remember, this is for the week after the finale with no new episode added. Anyway, the ratings for Andor seem to have reached a stable level and chances are ratings will improve further, because word of mouth is very positive. But it’s still the least watched Star Wars live action series. Obi-Wan Kenobi had ended with episode 6, but episode 7 of The Book of Boba Fett had 885 million minutes, which was of course the season finale.
But Andor’s ratings are still very solid, especially for a drama series that breaks with several Star Wars traditions and that doesn’t feature a fan favourite character from the Original or Prequel Trilogy – or cute little Baby Yodas.
