There was a flurry of activity because of this year’s Star Wars Celebration as we reviewed the latest wave of The Vintage Collection, so here is your chance to catch up if you missed any of our RDRs. Check out Ahsoka Tano (Corvus), Clone Trooper (501st Legion), Death Watch Mandalorian, Fennec Shand, and Yoda.
We saved the best for last. The surprise hit of the show was the unannounced The Mandalorian Experience exhibit. This exhibit was revealed at the opening day Lucasfilm’s Studio Showcase panel and features props and set pieces from The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. This wasn’t just any display, it was incredibly immersive and impressive how much they brought in to showcase. Click through to see our massive gallery and walk-through video of the exhibit!

The Bad Batch season 2 will be released later this year and Lucasfilm dropped the first trailer for the new season earlier today. So what changes are there in season 2? Omega gets a new outfit which looks to be more practical. The Emperor makes an appearance and it seems we may also see the Imperial Senate. And while the trailer is very light on plot it looks as though the Bad Batch may get involved with the very early rebellion, something that will certainly surprise very few people. But see for yourself when you watch the trailer, just click on the image below! How do you like it? Are you looking forward to more Bad Batch? The trailer certainly has quite a few epic moments. Let’s hope season 2 focuses more on the main story and less on random bounty hunter jobs for Cid, something that happened too often in season 1.
Let’s continue looking at the remaining figures in the latest wave of the Retro Collection. The Armorer is next. Hasbro did something different with this one. (more….)

A teaser for the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was released. The new game is titled Jedi: Survivor and is set a few years after Fallen Order, which makes it roughly concurrent with the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series. The teaser trailer does not include any gameplay whatsoever, but it sets the tone for what to expect. Fans of Fallen Order should definitely check out the teaser! The release date is tbd, we only know it’s supposed to come out sometime in 2023, but that means little in the video game industry. You can watch the teaser on YouTube by clicking on the image below! Are you excited for the Fallen Order sequel?
May 27th is an important day in Star Wars history. And since yesterday it’s also the release date of the brand new Obi-Wan Kenobi live action series on Disney+. Is it any good? Is the series worth the very long wait after years and years of denials and rumors? Find out in my spoiler heavy review of the first two episodes. Click here or on the banner below to read my review and to discuss the series!
Yesterday at the Hasbro panel at SWC, they announced a few pipeline figures for The Vintage Collection. All three were solid reveals that we’ve been waiting for a while to have in the line. Hunter from the Bad Batch has already been made in The Black Series, and while most fans were excited for the figure, it’s eventual repaint into Delta Squad was not well received due to the stylized sculpt. We need to make sure that the upcoming TVC version doesn’t make this same mistake…

A decade ago, all of the accessories with the Ahsoka Tano & Grogu two-pack would have been included in the basic carded release. But not with the current Hasbro Star Wars team. No way, and no how. (more….)
Hasbro updated their booth with the latest reveals after the Hasbro Panel. Click through for a look at the updated Hasbro booth!
To no one’s surprise after the accidental leak on Hasbro’s very own HasLab page a few days ago, the brand new Reva Force FX lightsaber HasLab was also revealed at the Hasbro panel! Price is $499.99, the campaign ends on July 11th. 5,000 backers are required to make the lightsaber a reality. There will be NO tiers!
I would say this could be do-able, since there are quite a few cosplayers and lightsaber collectors out there. But we will see how much momentum the campaign will have after the weekend is over! $499.99 for a saber that won’t even let you fly around like a helicopter is still a lot of money after all!
You can back your Reva lightsaber on the HasLab page!
Are you interested in the new Star Wars HasLab or is it nothing for you? Let us know in the comments!
The Hasbro Panel is finished. Click through for a look at all the slides from the presentation.
Hasbro are currently holding their panel at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim! So we can expect a few reveals in the next minutes! I will post them after the jump, so click through for everything new we learn from the panel!

And the reveals continue! We got Reva a few days ago, we got the Grand Inquistor earlier today and now we also have the Fifth Brother from the brand new Obi-Wan Kenobi series! Check out the figure in the box below:
You can find more photos on the Hasbro Pulse Facebook page!
How do you like the figure? We now have three of the four Inquisitors seen so far on the show as Black Series figures. I wonder if the unnamed female Inquisitor will also get made to complete the team.
The figure will be available for pre-order on Hasbro Pulse on June 1st, 1pm ET! Will you try to secure your figure?
Hasbro revealed the brand new Black Series Grand Inquisitor from the Obi-Wan Kenobi today! Pre-order date is June 1st, 1pm ET. Here you can see actor Rupert Friend with his Grand Inquisitor action figure:
No spoilers here, I will post the review of the first two Kenobi episodes on Saturday, but let’s wait and see how many people will want the Grand Inquisitor action figure after this weekend!
Will you pre-order the figure? What other Kenobi figures would you like to get? You can find more pictures of the figure on the official Hasbro Pulse Facebook page!

The Star Wars “Saga” line is officially two decades old. We’re revisiting all of the figures that made up this unprecedented lineup. Today, we continue with 2002’s Star Wars “Saga” [Phase I] Watto (Mos Espa Junk Dealer) (’02 #50) figure. Check out the new review template, the all-new Photo Gallery, the rewritten review, and the other content we updated as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the line that supported Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones.
It’s not Star Wars, but I would assume that almost any Star Wars fan is also a fan of Willow and has seen the classic fantasy movie with Warwick Davies, Val Kilmer and Joanne Whalley. So I guess a brand new Willow series trailer will interest quite a lot of people! Willow will be released on November 30th, with Warwick Davies returning as the titular character.
Click on the image below to watch the trailer on YouTube!
Joanne Whalley is also back, Val Kilmer apparently not (not surprising). In the trailer we learn that Willow is tasked with protecting a future empress, there are also hints of romance in the trailer, first between what could be the future empress and a young man, then Willow and a female dwarf, but also between two girls, oh my… let the meltdown on YouTube commence in 3… 2… 1…
What do you think? Are you happy to get a Willow sequel? Are Andor and then Willow enough to make you subscribe to Disney+ come late summer?
The biggest news of today (so far) is the reveal of a brand new upcoming live action Star Wars series on Disney+ titled “Skeleton Crew”. Not very much is known at this stage, here is the blurb we have from Disney about the show:
The show takes place during the post–’Return of the Jedi’ reconstruction that follows the fall of the Empire, the same as ‘The Mandalorian,’ but its plot remains a secret. It’s created and executive-produced by director Jon Watts and writer Chris Ford, who made ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ for Marvel. A casting notice has called for four children, around 11 to 12 years old. Inside Lucasfilm, the show is being described as a galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.
Variety reports that Jude Law will star in the series, so at least one adult main character will be featured in the series and with Jude Law Lucasfilm secured a very well known star. Lucasfilm has not been too successful with kid-centric content so far, most of which was low budget animated efforts on the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel. With “Skeleton Crew” Lucasfilm is apparently trying to engage kids and families in earnest.
What do you think? Is a classical 1980s Spielberg style Star Wars teen / kid adventure something you are eager to see? Maybe with a possible Mandalorian crossover?
Star Wars Celebration has kicked off with a few reveals and updates! First up is the first proper look at the brand new Andor series coming later this year on August 31st! Season 1 wrapped filming, season 2 will begin filming in November! While season 1 is set 5 years before Rogue One, season 2 will explore the timeline right until Rogue One. Disney also released a teaser trailer, which you can watch when you click through!
The trailer doesn’t show that much of Andor himself, but instead focuses on worldbuilding and showing us what the series, the setting, supporting characters and villains will look like and sets the tone for what to expect from Andor. It does look pretty impressive! But check out for yourself after the jump!
Click through for a first-day look at the Hasbro booth. There were a few new items (this weeks reveals) but most was already revealed products. Patrick told us they wanted to get many of the releases from the past few years out since they’ve not been able to do an in person event for a while. Check back again after the Hasbro Panel on Friday for an updated look at their booth. There were plenty of empty cases with placeholders for upcoming reveals. The booth is front and center when you walk in the doors.
Hot Toys also officially reveals The Clone Wars Heavy Weapons Clone Trooper and BARC Speeder with Sidecar, featuring an amazingly cool base to hold this set! Check out their full gallery on their Facebook page, and click through for all the details and specs.

The Star Wars “Saga” line is officially two decades old. We’re revisiting all of the figures that made up this unprecedented lineup. Today, we continue with 2002’s Star Wars “Saga” [Phase I] Jango Fett (Slave I Pilot) (’02 #47) figure. Check out the new review template, the all-new Photo Gallery, the rewritten review, and the other content we updated as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the line that supported Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones.
Happy 45th Birthday to Star Wars! Before Disney sucked the spirit out of the franchise much like how the Skeksis drained the essences from the podlings, there was a little film called Star Wars, NOT A New Hope, and it changed most of our lives forever. And we show gratitude to its Maker, George Lucas, for creating the greatest space fantasy franchise of all time.
Star Wars Celebration officially starts tomorrow bright and early, but we are checking out the preparations on the showroom floor tonight. Click through for some fun preview photos as everyone scrambles to get their booths set up and ready to go!

As part of the Obi-Wan Wednesday the Reva Black Series action figure was officially revealed today on the official Star Wars website. Reva will also come to The Vintage Collection and the Retro Collection. And if you want to you can also buy a Funko Pop version of her! It seems Lucasfilm is going all in with Reva and that they want to push her to become the next fan favorite character.
The figure seems to have a cloth cape, which is ideal for an action oriented character that will probably do a lot of fighting. The other female Inquistor figure we have from Fallen Order did come with a plastic cape which hindered articulation. So cloth is certainly the superior choice here.
Pre-order for Black Series Reva starts Thursday at 10 am! Let’s see who can beat the bots this time!
Will you get Reva? Or will you wait for the series to air to see what kind of character she is?
Reva’s lightsaber HasLab was not the only thing that was accidentally leaked by Hasbro on their own Pulse website. A new Black Series “Selfie” line is coming. It’s basically a Black Series 6 inch figure with your own head. The exact details are still unknown – where and how your head will be scanned – but price will be $59.99. Click through for a few more photos!
You all remember Patrick’s slip of the tongue when he accidentally revealed in a livestream that the Rancor would be the next Star Wars HasLab. Well, Hasbro is at it again and once more accidentally revealed the next Star Wars HasLab, on their own HasLab site of all things, before everyting was pulled down again.
The new HasLab will be for Reva’s Inquisitor lightsaber (the helicopter saber), cost will be $500. Launch is May 27th (the day the Kenobi series premieres on Disney+) and it will end on July 11th. Let’s see if this Star Wars HasLab will succeed again for a change after the Rancor failure. My personal opinion? $500 for an Inquisitor lightsaber is very ambitious. I feel a disturbance in the Force, as if millions of Star Wars fans groaned out in pain and rolled their eyes… but what do you think? Do you want a $500 Reva Force FX lightsaber? Or will you just order some popcorn and have yet another countdown party here on JTA on July 11th like last time with the Rancor?
Figures like The Client are boring in The Black Series [Phase IV] line. (more….)

It’s nearly time again for another Star Wars Celebration. I will be heading west tomorrow morning to begin JTA’s coverage. I will be working some shifts at the Kentucky Star Wars Collector Club booth (booth 2682) at various times throughout the event while doing JTA coverage, so be sure to stop by and say hi!
I’ve put together a portal page for all of the upcoming galleries to be collected in one place once they are posted. You can find a quick link graphic in the top right corner of our page for easy access. I will compile the day’s galleries each evening on that page, but you can also keep an eye on the front page for the real-time gallery uploads throughout each day.
Safe travels to everyone attending, and May the Force Be With You!
The Vintage Collection Ahsoka Tano and Grogu orders are starting to arrive from Walmart.com. Let us know in the comments if you receive yours, and how they arrived. Thanks to JTA reader Travis for the report!
I received my Ahsoka Tano & Grogu from Walmart this morning. The packaging is reminiscent of the original TVC Ewok Scouts and AT-ST Crew sets from K-Mart…and probably a good look at the future of all TVC packaging. I’m sure others will be reporting this soon, too. As always, thanks for all your work and your site. All the best!

We’re not going to lie. The Vintage Collection Droids Boba Fett looks gorgeous. But upon further inspection, you’ll discover how lazy Hasbro was because they did nothing to help the character’s screen accuracy. It’s ultimately another disappointment. (more….)

Hasbro fails TVC collectors again with The Vintage Collection Yoda (VC218) figure. Refusing to update the swivel elbows collectors have begged for since 2011, they plopped the “Cave Of Evil” figure on a card sporting The Empire Strikes Back entertainment logo, added a few different paint operations, and called it a day. They should be ashamed. (more….)

A while back, a mock-up of what a TVC figure might look like was posted on The Vintage Collection Facebook group (image below). Well, our friends at Star Wars Figuren came across new information from someone with inside knowledge that says that this render was NOT FAR OFF and that we’ve essentially been revealed what the new packaging will look like thanks to this mock-up. Click through for more of what horror may be coming to TVC collectors. If this is eventually confirmed as the way Hasbro is going to treat the collector-focused line, then “see ya!” I’m done because I can’t collect a line like this. The “vintage Kenner-styled” line has been in existence for 45 years. Maybe they should stop producing the figures if they’re so concerned about plastic production. And before you say “you don’t throw away the figures,” at some point, someone will, and there are still such things as carded collectors.

Seagate has released their latest Star Wars branded drives. Click through for the full press release…
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away … the data storage company, Seagate, decided to celebrate the momentous day of May 4th by releasing three Special Edition External Drives inspired by the Stars Wars Galaxy.
Star Wars enthusiasts around the world rejoiced that their gaming set-ups would now have a ‘forceful’ upgrade. Each drive represents a legendary character: the cool demeanor of legendary bounty hunter, Boba Fett, the joyful look of Grogu, and the honorable and unwavering purpose of The Mandalorian. Not only do these drives look great but they also perform, giving Tenebrae’s powers a run for their money:
Hasbro, in all honesty, what the frack is your defect? With the many things you do good, you set yourselves back with the horrible mistakes you make. It was inevitable that you’d somehow work in the phase I Clone Troopers into the army builder subline. That’s fine and rather excellent of you. But how are you so wholly disengaged that you didn’t even know where to begin with them? (more….)
