Numbers are quite abstract, so how big is the HasLab Ghost really? How does it compare with the Razor Crest? I created a comparison photo that compares the Ghost, Razor Crest and Khetanna with photos of Luke and Leia to give you an idea how bulky the ship is. Click through for the image!
UPDATE: I added the BMF to the comparison
UPDATE 2: more comparison images added that show you how big a true to scale 1/18 scale Ghost and a 1/12 scale Ghost would need to be!
And here is the photo!
Mark Hamill is 175 cm tall (approx. 5’9” in quaint units) and Carrie is 155 cm (5’1” in Imperial). The Khetanna still reigns supreme when it comes to sheer length, but the Ghost is quite a bit wider, in fact, it is almost twice as wide as the Khetanna and MUCH bulkier than the Razor Crest, and it is even bulkier than the already quite bulky “Big” Millennium Falcon. So you need to plan accordingly when you are looking for a place to display the ship!
JTA regular Oofa created these really helpful and interesting comparison graphics that show you how big the Ghost would have need to be to be true 1/18 scale. And it also shows you how big a 1/12 scale option would be.
You’d definitely need an extra room for just the Ghost if it were scale accurate. The 6 inch version would require it’s own garage even, more or less. It would be roughly the size of a car.
And here Oofa compares the Black Series Snowspeeder with the Ghost and a few other vehicles:
So the question is indeed, why no more vehicles for the Black Series? However, I would like to add here that according to Hasbro they didn’t really sell all that well, Snowspeeder included, and thus their decision to not make more vehicles is based on that, at least for now. Maybe the majority of 6 inch figure collectors are primarily interested in the figures, not vehicles.
Thanks again, Oofa, for making these charts!
