Hasbro SDCC 2024 Livestream: The Black Series Reveals
Well….
The following Black Series figures were revealed at SDCC by Hasbro:
- Vernestra Rwoh
- Bazil (sorry, I can hardly contain myself)
- Cassian Andor (all new figure, all newly tooled)
- Dedra Meero
- Ahsoka Tano (Peridea)
- Imperial Armored Commando (The Mandalorian)
- IG-12 and Grogu (The Mandalorian) – DELUXE set
All items are mainline releases. The Acolyte figures will be released in spring 2025, the other figures will come later this year in the fall. Andor figures will get their pre-order dates later. Everything else will be available for pre-order on Saturday at 5 pm ET.
Maybe it’s time to become a GI Joe Collector.

Objectively speaking this does look good, subjectively speaking she is literally the worst Jedi ever and I cannot see myself ever wanting to have a figure of her. Good luck with that, Hasbro!

I bet it seemed like a good idea at the time for Hasbro. Remember that these things were greenlit about 18-24 months ago. And then Disney screwed Hasbro over with The Acolyte. Hasbro may as well deliver it straight to the next landfill!
Cassian Andor
All new Cassian figure, this does look better than previous attempts. While I will probably get this figure Andor is just not all that toyetic and I cannot see this becoming a hot item.
Dedra Meero
She was in the pipeline before. Looks really good. But again, Andor is just not all that much mainstream and I feel many may not want a female Imperial Officer. But this looks as good as a female Imperial officer can look. Likeness is also pretty great.
Ahsoka Tano aka Gandalfina the White
Looks good! But the real question is: can the figure cross her arms????
Imperial Armored Commando
Troopers always work. Looks good enough! And yes, they fly now! They have for ages, actually…
IG-12 and Grogu
A deluxe set… IG-12 is all new and Hasbro pointed out that he is the correct height now for a change. Making all previous IG droids obsolote trash and Hasbro will want us to buy the new and accurate versions all over again. Also comes with two Babu Friks.
Other than the two Andor figures all figures will be available for pre-order on Saturday at 5 pm! All the figures are mainline releases.
And then there were a number of pipeline releases, some of them really good!

- Praetorian Guard (The Mandalorian)
- Anakin in Clone Wars Outfit (Ahsoka)

- BX Commando Droid (The Clone Wars)
- Prince Xizor (Shadows of the Empire)
And that’s it! The reveals were not all that great, even if the Andor figures do look very nice!
