Hasbro would be the first to admit this, but they have really been in an urgent state of “playing catch-up” ever since the inception of The Black Series 6″ line. It’s really no one’s fault at Hasbro. When you start a line from the beginning, you’re already “x” years behind to anything else that has already been produced. It must be quite an undertaking trying to organize a vast cast of characters which make sense for this line that contains so many characters while including new Star Wars Entertainment. Trying to please everyone in this scale is proving to be quite overwhelming in some regards. (more….)
3.75″ collectors know where we stand with our respective line(s). After 40 years of producing so many action figures, our wish lists are much more distilled and focused. In fact, very few characters remain to be made by comparison. Clearly, there are some popular characters that most 6″ collectors want to see realized in their scale, but we can often see that the 6″ Fans’ Choice polls are always all over the place. Often, large focused groups of characters are consistently overlooked. This is especially true for two groups of characters: those from Chalmun’s Cantina and those from Jabba’s Palace/Jabba’s Sail Barge.
You heard Hasbro state that one of the main reasons they brought back The Vintage Collection was to focus on these “alien and human” characters which will always elate 3.75″ fans, but we almost never hear 6″ fans wish or champion for these characters…. hardly ever. We want to know the following: Do you want to see Hasbro focus on these Original Trilogy characters more than they are (which is honestly next to never) for The Black Series 6″ line? Do you want Gamorrean Guards, Tessek, Bib Fortuna, Weequay, Klaatu, Ponda Baba, Hammerhead, Takeel, etc. for your 6″ collection? Let us know in the comments.
