Toys R Us Canada To Be Auctioned Off

The deadline for the bids is April 13th 2018, 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
The auction will take place on April 18th 2018, 10 a.m. Eastern Time at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, 601 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10022.
Apparently, the bids are only for the Canadian branch of TRU, there’s no mention of the additional 200 TRU stores in the USA, which were previously rumored to be part of a deal.
So, maybe there’s still some hope for the 83 Canadian TRU stores and especially for the employees.
It seems that Isaac Larian’s efforts to buy some of the TRU stores might not be successful, his GoFundMe campaign only raised another $53,000 in the past 7 days and is still $799,947,000 short of the $1 billion Larian needs to raise, with two months left in the campaign.
