We're Past Street Date And Force Link 2.0 Firmware Error Still Present

I am only of average intelligence, but the Force Link 2.0 is something I just cannot figure out to save my life. I have talked to other like-minded intelligent people, and other super-smart friends, and they cannot figure out the app update either. I think Hasbro dropped the ball on this Force Link 2.0 Starter Set. But I would like to be proven wrong. If this is a manufacturing error, then a statement should have been released. I find it sad that consumers are plopping down $30 for this set and so far it only works with the figure included and some older Star Wars [The Last Jedi] basic figures. Hasbro, please advise us on how to get this thing working. Thank you! (If any readers have figured this out, please give us directions!)
