Review Embargo For Solo: A Star Wars Story Has Been Lifted
Professional reviews for Solo: A Star Wars Story were released earlier tonight. Rotten Tomatoes has updated its page for Solo and now shows the Tomatometer: What does it say? Click through for more.
At the time this article is written there are 74 reviews. The Last Jedi ended up with almost 400 professional reviews, so it’s still very early. At 72% Solo: A Star Wars Story is the Disney Star Wars movie with the lowest Tomatometer at the moment. And overall, only The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones have lower Tomatometers.
The Metacritic Score at the moment is 67, Rogue One only had a 65 on Metacritic. Return of the Jedi is at 58. Metacritic can be off sometimes, compared to Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB and Cinemascore.
A recent article on JTA showed that critical opinion and audience opinion on Rotten Tomatoes usually align pretty well. It remains to be seen what the audience will have to say about Solo. We’ll all know more next week!
