The Verge reports that a new Star Wars game was announced earlier today at E3. The game is titled “Jedi: Fallen Order” and is developed by Respawn (they also made the Titanfall games). Respawn was acquired by EA in December 2017. This will be their first Star Wars game. Click through for a few more details!
Not much is known yet, no artwork or concept was shown. Jedi: Fallen Order is set after Revenge of the Sith and you’re apparently a Jedi on the run from the Empire after Order 66 was issued. The game will be dark and gritty and you will be able to wield a lightsaber. Tentative release date is the 2019 holiday season.
What do you wish for in a new Star Wars game? My hope is that Jedi: Fallen Order will have a strong single player campaign and not just focus on multiplayer. Oh, and maybe don’t include any loot boxes.
Update: Game developer Vince Zampella confirms that Jedi: Fallen Order will be a single player game! Now I am really excited! It’s been such a long time since we’ve had a true story based single player Star Wars game!
