Another Shocking Return Of Bubblegate! What The Heck Is Going On?
Well this is devastating (but in all honesty NOT shocking, sadly). We’re getting MULTIPLE reports that “Bubblegate” is back in a fast and furious way. With so many wonderful store reports coming in with collectors finding wave 2 of The Vintage Collection, just as many are writing in to let us know that the figures’ bubbles are coming clean off the card backs with little effort at all. Hasbro claimed to have fixed this problem going forward. They even removed the Scotch tape after updating their heat-sealing protocols. Now the same horrific nightmare is happening once again. TVC has NO chance with all of these uphill battles. Special thanks to JTA reader vikingrobot for the report and images and so many others writing in with these very upsetting developments.

No doubt you have been flooded with emails about the latest TVC finds. I wanted to share my story with you in two parts.
First, I approached the SW section with excitement when I could see TVC figures on the shelf, not the pegs. I was just at this Walmart yesterday and the shelves were empty. Good thing I forgot oil for my car or else I wouldn’t be out today. There were kids all over the toy aisle and a little girl about seven or eight saw the TVC figures and got super excited about Rey. Her Grandma bought it for her. I was able to pick up Han Solo, Enfys Nest, and Tank Driver.
Now to Bubblegate!!!
You will see in the pics what I put together. These figures were stacked on the shelf and when I first saw the cardback for the Death Trooper, I immediately thought it was shoplifting. I looked around and saw the bubble with figure and placed them here for this picture.
