Did You Ever Think We'd See Actual Playsets In The Vintage Collection?
Hasbro truly stepped out of their comfort zone by producing The Vintage Collection Jabba’s Palace Adventure Playset. Simply put, it’s fantastic. Most of us believed the days of environmental backgrounds and playsets for our action figures was long gone, but here it is, proving us all wrong. Perhaps the most incredible fact here is that it’s not cardboard. Plus, the brilliance of including two figures we need to be carded in The Vintage Collection added as pack-in premiums are only gravy. (more….)
We’d like to know how they managed to produce this with an MSRP between $40 and $50 AND STILL include two exclusive figures that we both need in the TVC basic figure line. If they make a couple more sets like this, we’ll soon have Jabba’s Palace in its entirety. (Hey Hasbro: make the fire spit behind Jabba along with a Jawa and fan and another random denizen as the pack-in figures.)
Anyhow, it goes without saying that most of us want to see this glorious approach continue. But would you rather have them finish off Jabba’s Palace, or are you interested to see what they can do with other things, like a Death Star, Chalmun’s Cantina or Bright Tree Village?
And are you satisfied with the figures they chose to add to this set, even if Han Solo is specific to The Empire Strikes Back and not Return Of The Jedi?
Hasbro also must continue to include more and more characters from Return Of The Jedi as far as the eye can see. We’re going to continue wanting more and new characters to interact with our Sail Barges! Keep them coming, please!
