Hasbro, The Vintage Collection, And 3.75" Collectors: Unhappy Together (It's Time To Start Cranking Out Figures From The Mandalorian)

Are you tired of proving your worth to Hasbro, 3.75″ collectors? How is it that we literally “kill” it for The Khetanna and then only get two all-new action figures to populate it? And then we all step up to the plate HUGELY once again for the Razor Crest, only to see Hasbro asleep at the wheel. Why aren’t they banging out 3.75″ action figures for us after that major campaign success? They owe it to us to make us new characters from The Mandalorian for The Vintage Collection. And after two years, how is it that we don’t have some core and behind the scenes characters from The Mandalorian yet? (Would you announce Kuiil already?) While Hasbro is obsessively reusing parts from their older 6″ figures, they’re doing next to nothing to utilize older 3.75″ super-articulated figures that could be revitalized to bring us new characters from The Mandalorian. Oh, and yes, we deserve some all-new tooling as well. (more….)

How have they not repainted 2012’s SW [TPM 3D] Speeder Bike With Scout Trooper to give us a set as they did for Amazon? We need white Speeder Bikes and dirty Scout Troopers (and a satchel with Grogu in it). Why aren’t these ideas considered for the 3.75″ line? Did we not back enough units of the Razor Crest, Hasbro? Are we going to have to get sets like this through the next HasLab? Why are you making us wait for this?

Why not retool parts from 2007’s VTSC IG-88 (Bounty Hunter) to give us IG-11. (How do we not have IG-11 after two years?) This has to be one of the most egregiously-ignored action figures for The Mandalorian. It’s unacceptable. If you don’t want to use this figure, then tool us an all-new IG-11. We’ll take it.

And you know how 3.75″ collectors LOVE the background aliens, so why are you continuing to ignore them, Hasbro? What about thinking outside of the box a little bit and take 2012’s TVC Weequay figure and retool it slightly to give us that stocky bartender? And speaking of bartenders, this is the PERFECT opportunity to bring us an updated EV-9D9 into the line. What gives, Hasbro? It’s a Kenner 96, and a character in The Mandalorian.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. You’re squandering MANY 3.75″ action figure opportunities, and you should be ashamed that you’re hoarding the license and not delivering the goods. Please get busy, and at least make us feel like you’re going to bat for us in this precious world-building scale. Disney Star Wars has a hit finally. You best take advantage of it.
