Hello, Toy Runners! Another Tuesday has passed, so I have several new acquisitions to share with you. I received my Tantive IV playsets, and did a couple custom “fixes” for two Mandalorian TVC figures. Take a look by clicking here!
I must say, I’ve seen a lot of complaining about the Tantive IV playset, and personally, I don’t think it’s justified. This is a remarkable playset. I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of construction. The only parts lacking are the stickers and missing grey paint on the greeblies. I may fix that eventually. But for now, I am very excited by this release and hope Hasbro makes many more playsets like this.
Next, I added some walls to my Imperial Hangar, and took this fine shot of a group of notorious Imperial officers.
Finally, I wanted to share a couple customs. Shout out to our reader Alientek who pointed me in the direction of Mig pigment fixer to set the graphite powder in place on my beskar Mandalorian. As you can see, there is a subtle but important distinction between the color of these two mandalorians. In the comparison photo you can see how the graphite powder darkened the beskar armor to a much more realistic tone. I highly recommend using this trick. You simply take graphite powder (can be scavenged from shaving a pencil lead) and rub it on the beskar with your finger. Then set the pigment with your fixer of choice.
The other fix I did was on my Armorer. She was desparately in need of some fur to allow her arms to move freely.
There you have it, folks. I hope to see your new dioramas, customs, finds, and more in the comments below!
