Thicker TVC Card Stock: Yay! - Ring Around The Collar: Nay!
Hasbro one step forward, two steps back they take, always they do. It was a tremendous turnaround for The Vintage Collection when the latest wave of figures and some exclusives began showing up on thicker card stock. But have you taken a closer inspection of these latest cards? (more….)
Click the thumbnail images above and look closely. We helped to draw your attention to the issue with a highlight. There is a “ring of death ” — a term coined by my friend Mark — plaguing each carded sample we came across between the two of us. Our samples came from Amazon. But I have found this issue on other samples from Entertainment Earth, for example.
By the shape and size of the mark, it appears the bubble was accidentally placed or rested on the card, leaving a mark, before getting installed in the correct place. But that’s just surmising.
This defect isn’t entirely noticeable with the human eye, so you may need to take pictures of your sample and look at it with an enlarged view. What an odd phenomenon!
Let us know if you’re finding the same thing on your latest The Vintage Collection figures’ cards. Hopefully, Hasbro will correct this issue ASAP with future assortments.
