The Lucca Comics and Games Convention Hasbro panel JUST revealed 2 new figures coming next year for The Black Series and The Vintage Collection (thanks to Banthaskull for posting the live feed). If you’re a TBS collector, you will be pleased that our rumor is true that Mace Windu will be joining the 6″ world. If you are a TVC collector, the reveal may be worse than you could have possibly imagined! If you thought the figure wasn’t worth it for $3 at Walmart a year ago, you might be thrilled to pay $13 for a repacked Poe Dameron (pilot) figure on a vintage Kenner card back! What do you think?
Update: Official promo photos of Mace Windu and Poe Dameron added! More photos will most likely follow later today, so stay tuned! Also, it has to be pointed out that Poe Dameron is a repaint with photo real technology.
Update 2: Mace Windu will be available in Spring 2019! Poe Dameron is scheduled for a fall 2019 release!
Both Mace and Poe raise an eyebrow to this decision

A thanks to Disqus commenter TopMonkey for this heads up. We initially reviewed Han, Lando, and Qi’ra from Solo back in April. So far these figures have not sold through everywhere, and their Amazon values attest to their diminished popularity. So, in an attempt to reignite some interest, Hasbro sent GeekTyrant some promo figures for review. The reviewer is a collector himself, so he has some valuable thoughts regarding these figures… Full Story

Dang! This a shocker! I was expecting to find wave 2, and a friendly, competent Walmart employee (no joke) went to the back and located the case. Much to my surprise I found something quite different!

Dioramas are cool. Supporting hobbyists is even cooler. Hole in the Ground Productions has been making resin cast diorama parts for years, and are trying to take things to the next level, but your help is needed! So many people supported the barge around these parts, and a much smaller investment could go a long way in backing a supplier of amazing diorama pieces and getting those pieces into our dioramas.
If you want to contribute but it’s not as convenient at the moment, don’t worry. There is a minimum option for only a donation of $8 and it still gets you some new diorama parts. If you collect 6″ figures, there is an option for you. Click the image below to view their main perk – 24 injection molded functional diorama pieces for only $50!!

Sadly, it’s not as exciting as you think. Hoping to find wave 2, I searched the SKU on brickseek.com. Brickseek was right on the money with the number of figures that were in the store, but guess what? My local Walmart got a very nice, fresh, minty case of wave 1…

Hi Hasbro, here are some figures that I want made. Just so there is no question as to what figures people want made, I thought posting these photos may be of assistance. Readers, do you agree? Let us know in the comments!

Yes, you read that right. Wave 2 is barely showing up in stores in America and Europe and wave 3 is already showing up overseas! I’m sure we can expect to see these on eBay fairly soon… This does negate a previous rumor that the Praetorian Guard would be taking the place of the Range Trooper in this wave (thankfully false). Shout out to John P. and his friends who sent him these images!!

Rather bewilderingly, the Doctor Aphra SDCC set is still in-stock online. If you still haven’t picked up this set, I personally recommend it – especially for the amazing droids (don’t see too many of them around anymore). Check out our review of the set here!

If you are into building dioramas to display your figures (I know I am), you’ll definitely want to check out this Indigogo campaign for Hole In the Ground Productions. Only a couple days in and already 14% funded! Keep in mind this is just the first wave, and if funded there will be more diorama pieces coming soon.
The nice thing is you don’t have to worry about crazy funding costs, but you can buy in to some higher-end campaign rewards, too. There are good options for everyone to show their support for this awesome project!

My dad sent me a picture of the PZ-4CO action figure that he picked up today. I had remembered reading somewhere that “Peazy” was of feminine programming, so I looked it up just for fun. I stumbled upon an obscure interview with the actress who portrayed Peazy. Click through for more…

As you all know, The Vintage Collection Resistance Rey has already hit shelves about a month ago. Walmart is just the best retailer and I’m so glad that whenever I go I find just the Star Wars toys I’m looking for. Our friends at Banthaskull agree in their latest article. Is your experience the same? Snap a photo and let Hasbro know how well Walmart does at selling their products in our comments below…

Finally! I’ve been trying to find a pre-order for these figures for a while, but all the sites I found were based in the UK. Your Toy Link has TVC wave 2 for pre-order in the US for $15 each and free shipping No shipping charged until actually shipped (or you can choose a $5 deposit). They also have the Mimban Stormtrooper available to ship for $40 (less than eBay but still too much for my blood). They are scheduled for an 8/31 availability.

Much doom and gloom has been spilled in the last few days it seems. It’s sad to hear of people leaving the hobby because they couldn’t find a figure at the store. They have their reasons, but I have to ask myself, “Is it really all that bad?” There are several reasons why I don’t think things are as bad as some of the more pessimistic views make it sound. Here’s what I mean… Full Story

I found this image floating on Facebook. It was sourced from another group entirely so as of yet I don’t have the original source for this image. As a big fan of the Star Wars Nerf line (not added to ships…) I think this is a great set. If you look a little closer you may find something else of interest to TVC collectors. A little more to the left… a little more…

Keep checking your local Walmart clearance aisle’s folks. I found the entire wave (bought the Hoth trooper) for $11. This is the first time I had seen the full wave at any Walmart in my area. I’ve seen other reports of people finding them for even less than $11 (no pics, sorry).
I’m in agony. The closer I get to you, the worse it gets. – Anakin

To be honest, Battle Packs were hit or miss. Ones like the Mandalorian Warrior pack (please send more Mandos) were much more popular than ones like the Battle of Geonosis. Would a few battle packs of articulated figures be a bad thing? At least with these characters, I think a couple battle packs might do us some good. More…

Solo: A Star Wars Story has a lot of Easter eggs as you probably well know. One of the parts of the movie that may be difficult to get a good long look at the background details is Dryden Voss’ study. Well, luckily for us, Star Wars.com has this amazing video showing off some of the items in his collection. Whew, that Mando armor is hot! Also interesting to note are the references to Legends material. Click through for the full video!
