This week I’ve been playing a new Star Wars video game. Well, new to me as I never had the chance to play it before it’s re-release this week. I know this one is a favorite among Star Wars fans and gamers, and after dumping probably 6 hours or more into it this week, I can see why! It’s not the change we were expecting, either! While we were waiting for an orange card with a cropped image a running change to the figure itself showed up. One of the biggest gripes for collectors with this figure was the lack of sensor bars on the chest armor. This detail appeared in the initial sculpted digital prototype shown by Hasbro when the figure was announced. I am thrilled to see this corrected in a running change! Hello Toy Runners! This week I did my usual rounds to Target, etc. and I actually found some toys! I also visited a local small business called Explorer’s Emporium and found a fine selection of Vallejo paint. Click here to learn a little more about my week in Star Wars.

After just hearing about these “pipeline” figures in a recent Hasbro livestream, we’re rather surprised to see prototypes already! They look incredible! According to CNBC, “sales of [Hasbro’s] licensed content from entertainment studios fell 12% to $1.08 billion for the full year, [but] its sales of Star Wars grew by 70% over that period.” That’s a pretty hefty percentage for a single year. What on earth, do you suppose, could have possibly contributed to such an increase in sales? That’s rhetorical, by the way. The article without stating it directly basically says “The Mandalorian was really great for business.” Do you expect Hasbro to increase their product due to these sales? How much do you think The Black Series vs The Razorcrest campaign contributed to these numbers? Let us know what you think in the comments!

Some of you may know that I run a custom figure page on Facebook called John Morog Customs. I post a lot of my custom work on Toy Run Tuesdays here, but don’t advertise my page much since I don’t want to lead our readers away from the site. Sorry, Toy Runners! I had my semester final today and in the business and stressing out about a test I passed, I ended up putting this off till late! But it’s still Tuesday here, so I’ll count it. Anyway, I was able to finish up my Bo Katan I’ve been working on. I also got a small lot of figures in the mail and a gift from a fellow JTA reader and Toy Runner local to me. Take a look!

Say goodbye to having to purchase your cheap loose figures from eBay, because the popular seller of Star Wars toys now has his own website! Tunghori closed shop due to Covid19 for some time. Unfortunately airmail was suspended to several countries, so shipments were taking extra time and he received some negative feedback. I’ve personally purchased several lots from this seller and have received all of them. Now they have created their own website. Take a look as there are some hard to find figures at good prices!

No matter what scale you collect, all collectors agree that Walmart is often problematic for collecting, especially when it comes to exclusives. This latest is example is a bit of a doozy. Take a look at what this collector got instead of his carbonized exclusive. Thanks to Cody S. and others who informed us of this story.
