So far we’ve had Force Friday in 2015. Rogue Friday in 2016. And Force Friday II in 2017. For 2018, what would be a good product line launch name for Han Solo: A Star Wars Story? Unlike our headline, we’re “thinking” that Wookiee Weekend would be a nice use of alliteration, no?
With special thanks to Ricardo from The Astromech Collection for forwarding us this image, it looks like the holiday edition R3-H17 should be imminent at Disney Parks. Check out the carded image of this cool droid!
OK, so it’s time to spill the beans. How was your Force Friday II generally speaking? Did you find everything you needed? Were you elated with what you found? Were you disappointed? How much did you spend? What did you pre-order? Is this getting old? Or is it rekindling the inner child in you? Let us know in the comments! Hey, did Disney do that awful YouTube thing again this year? I totally missed it if they did.
Check out what the DisneyStore.com has to offer for Force Friday II!

Check out the new Elite Praetorian Guard and the First Order Judicial 6″ Elite Die-Cast figures coming out from Disney that made their way to Instagram. This is the first I’ve seen the name First Order Judicial (heck, it’s blurry so I may even have that wrong) and the Elite Praetorian Guard actually looks much better than I originally expected. I hope the Black Series ones look even better! What do you think? Special thanks to JTA reader Al for the heads up!

We have learned something that might be of interest to Star Wars collectors. As you know, Force Friday II is coming (the Rogue Friday launch wasn’t truly a Force Friday event) on September 1st. There are rumors circulating that there will be some sort of device app that will function as an Easter egg hunt/scavenger hunt of sorts to help collectors find all of The Last Jedi Star Wars figures they need on that day. As with anything, take this rumor with a grain of salt until it is officially announced.
The BB-8 Droid Factory figure is IN STOCK on the Disney Parks app. Thanks to all who wrote in to let us know! You can see this figure and learn about it in our early/advanced look at this figure in our Research Droids Reviews HERE. Use promo code DISNEYPAL for 25% off your order.
A user on Reddit recently uncovered the source code for the official Disney Parks Blog which had the words “Galaxy’s Edge” attached to it. I don’t know about you, but that sounds a HECK of a lot better than Star Wars Land. Though there is no official confirmation yet, it may be officially announced today so stay tuned. You can view the source code here. Thanks to JTA Reader Richard for the heads up!
Neither can I! Ever since it was announced, I was making plans to borrow my niece so that I could take a trip to Disney when it opens. It sounds so amazing with all the interactive properties that immerse you in A Galaxy Far, Far Away. And now the official Star Wars Facebook page has given us a look at the models for Star Wars Land (I sort of hope they tweak the title) that they revealed at D23 Expo. Click here to look at all the beautiful images.
Nerdist.com has received an exclusive sneak peek on new upcoming Disney Premium Elite Series figures to be revealed at D23 this year. Click through for the full story!
With the D23 Expo rapidly approaching, many people have been listing eBay pre-orders for the Exclusive D23 Droid Factory R5-D23 that was originally announced at SWCO. Obviously we’re all used to seeing the convention exclusive pre-order craze hit eBay, but I would expect not needing to pay scalper prices on this. Also planned are Hero/Villain Duo Limited Edition Star Wars Elite Series Premium numbered at 1000 only. These feature Rey/Kylo Ren, Jyn/Krennic, and Leia/Vader. I don’t know what is different from the regular releases, but hopefully something significant to warrant the $79.95 price tag. Special thanks to Charlie for the heads up.
Through a combined effort of friends Mario M. and Josh M., we’re able to provide some close-up images of the new Disney Parks Droid Factory BB-8 figure. She how Disney approached this figure, it’s pretty cool! The last image has been Photoshopped to correct the deco on the character’s main eye. Check them out!
