JTA reader and friend Scot G. found the latest The Vintage Collection repacks wave including Wicket, Obi-Wan Kenobi (TCW), Anakin Skywalker (TCW), and Darth Maul at his kocal TARGET in Texas. You can see all of our updated and expanded galleries on all four figures HERE, as well as the new figures in the wave. If you’re looking to purchase these figures, use DPCI 087-16-6045.
Holy cow! The latest wave of The Vintage Collection figures was found at a local toy shop in St Louis. See vivisectstudios on Instagram for loose images! Special thanks to JTA reader Jack B. for the alert!
File this under “you’ll never know what you’ll find on store shelves.” JTA reader Peter M. found a TVC Princess Leia Organa (Yavin) (the VC150 version) and The Black Series Archive Yoda at his local TARGET in NJ. They were in nearly mint condition. The TVC figure was full price, but the Archives figure was $5.
We knew this was imminent, but JTA reader Thomas P. sends us photographic evidence of the TVC Millennium Falcon (Smuggler’s Run) vehicle has arrived at select brick and mortar stores. I am pretty sure Hasbro said these were TARGET online exclusives, but I suppose the exception is the stores with Galaxy’s Edge boutiques in them. If you missed our review, be sure to check it out HERE!
You can’t find them anywhere in any of planet earth’s brick and mortar chains for $12.99 each, but you can find them for $3.99 at Ollie’s! The reports are coming in! Today is the day for The Vintage Collection to hit Ollie’s! JTA reader Jeremy W. sends us an image that feels like a punch to the gut! There is something very perverse about any Stormtrooper figure arriving at a discount outlet. I also know Darth Vader is part of these case assortments and goes for at least double its MSRP, and that should never be a discount chain item either!
How did you make out at TARGET with the Galaxy’s Edge exclusives? Some have commented already that the Droid Depot 3.75″ figures were the hardest to find. Let us know and show your pictures in the comments!
There hasn’t been anything at my local Walmart stores in almost a year, but today I found the new The Mandalorian Mandalorian Darksaber. This is the first new anything Hasbro Star Wars since Triple Force Friday at this location.
JTA reader Jason R. found the latest Galaxy’s Edge The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ figures at his local TARGET, but they are register locked until August 30th. See the image below! The DPCI for Hondo is 087-16-6969. If anyone knows the DPCI for the Mountain Trooper, let us know!
JTA reader Harrison just let us know that he received the latest The Vintage Collection repacks from Amazon. These were slated to arrive in November. Click the image below to see which figures are included in this round of repacks! Thanks for the update, Harrison!
JTA reader Devin K. found a single remnant of the first wave of The Black Series [Phase IV] figures at his local TARGET in Princeton NJ. Check out the Clone Trooper (Kamino) figure. It’s unbelievable how much 6″ stuff is hitting at once! Too bad the same isn’t true for The Vintage Collection. Use DPCI 087-16-8467 to find them at your local store.
JTA reader Craig F. writes in with a TARGET store report. It appears they’re still getting in relatively new Star Wars products, although I have found nothing within 50 miles of my house. Let us know if you’re having some luck out there!
Wo! The third wave of The Black Series [The Empire Strikes Back 40th Anniversary] has hit retail. JTA reader Mike R. found Boba Fett and Darth Vader. (UPDATE: It appears that these are being found at TARGET stores on the West coast.)
Ollie’s is getting in older The Vintage Collection figures at a fraction of their original cost! JTA reader and friend Scott K. has the story! Click through for more!
It appears some TARGET locations have register-locked the Power Droid figure from the rest of the wave UNTIL OCTOBER 1st! Clone Commander Wolffe, Luke Skywalker (Stormtrooper), and K-2SO all still ring up, but Power Droid will put you in register jail. Let us know if you experience this too. Special thanks to JTA reader Alientek for the news.
JTA reader Alientek found The Black Series [Phase III] Luke & Yoda TARGET two-pack. You can use DPCI 087-16-4525 to find it t your local store if interested.
Found! JTA reader and friend Josh M. for the latest Power Droid wave at TARGET!
Did you forget about the Sequel Trilogy too? Don’t worry. Retail hasn’t. JTA reader from New Zealand, Andy M., sends us a few images highlighting the disastrous sales of The Force Awakens Millennium Falcon. (It must have performed as well as The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter!) Whether discount outlets like ROSS and TJ MAXX, or various chains internationally, one thing is certain: you can find all the ST merchandise you want. In all seriousness, I wonder how the 3.75″ scaled line would have fared if it were designed for collectors instead of kids (like all the products made from 2005 to 2014 were). I’d imagine collectors would have purchased a lot more than they did. Developing the Star Wars toy line fro a kids’ perspective was a huge misstep in retrospect.
If you decide to brave the pandemic, TJ Maxx is getting the Walmart exclusive The Black Series [Phase III] Yoda (Force Spirit) figure. It only costs $5.99. Special thanks to JTA reader Camarillo E. for the news!
Here’s another Hasbro Star Wars product line retail didn’t need to receive to place on eventual clearance. I found “Battle Bobblers” today at my local retail store. I didn’t know they were even coming. There are three different styles, and they look silly, won’t sell, and will be pennies on the dollar in days. How can this get into the store, but The Vintage Collection cannot?. (Any comments that start off with ” but they’re for kids” will result in permanent banning.)
Have you noticed a lack of product at your local retailers like TARGET and WALMART? Aside from leftovers of the TBS6 [P3] Wedge Antilles wave, a couple of 40th Anniversary Lando Calrissian figures at TARGET, and mostly nothing at WALMART, aisles are bare of Star Wars products. Many factors can be blamed, from Coronavirus to online sales, but you have to wonder why retail cannot even keep SOMETHING on their shelves to represent this landmark event! The below image is from my local TARGET, and it has looked like this for over seven weeks now (aside from the Imperial Probe Droid which one arrived damaged and hasn’t sold since). And don’t get me started on The Vintage Collection which I haven’t seen at this location since 2019. Thank goodness for online, huh? It makes you wonder why Hasbro needs brick and mortar and at all.
The supposed “Fan Channel-only” exclusive wave of The Vintage Collection repacked and updated with Photo Real figures including Luke Skywalker (Bespin) and See-Threepio (C-3PO), which already showed up at TARGET and weren’t supposed to, are now showing up at Walmart. We assume they weren’t supposed to show up at Walmart either. Expect them to get marked down to $5.00 per figure in a couple of weeks. Special thanks to JTA reader Chad R. for the report and image.
We’re not sure if this is a single store markdown or not. And we have NO IDEA how widespread this is. But we have evidence that the Retro Collection is on clearance at this Walmart location for 50% off. Many (most?) of us haven’t even seen this collection of figures enter their brick and mortar locations, let alone on sale. It’s not even the end of May, and this latest find makes us believe that Walmart is over the 40th Anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back already. Thanks to JTA reader Thomas H. for the report and image.
In case you’re not aware, it looks like TARGET marked down The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ Moloch finally. JTA reader and friend Russ T. found it this morning for 50% off.
JTA reader Ty checks in to share his Mattel The Child plush find at his local Austin, TX Walmart. Thanks for the report, Ty! Let us know in the comments other places this can be found.
Found! JTA reader Eric S. found the latest wave of The Vintage Collection figures at TARGET. Interestingly, I thought this wave was a Fan Channel outlet-only wave, so I now have concerns that they might clog up shelves if there isn’t enough support to purchase them at the brick and mortar level.
