Known confidant of Lt. Dannl Faytonni, Achk Med-Beq wore the uniform of a Republic official while visiting a popular gambling club in Coruscant's entertainment district. He was seen conversing with Twi'leks when a pair of Jedi showed up in pursuit of a changeling assassin.

Like it or not, the man who played Jar Jar Binks made a cameo appearance in Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones. As a character that didn’t resonate fully with Star Wars fans, Jar Jar Binks is often misunderstood to the point of being despised. Perhaps it was George Lucas’ way of apologizing Ahmed Best, but no matter the reason, he is now credited ads playing two distinct characters in the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. The Coruscant Outlander Nightclub seemed like an effort or at the very least a hopeful way to engage Star Wars fans who adored the scenes from Chalmun’s cantina or Jabba the Hutt’s palace. But for many this scene just paled in comparison and a lot less collectors showed interest in seeing characters from these scenes developed into action figures. That didn’t mean that they wouldn’t be coming from Hasbro however. In fact, in the Star Wars “Saga” line, Coruscant proved to be a very ripe setting for new action figures from Episode II, either to the chagrin or glee of Star Wars collectors. Our favor of these characters lies somewhere in the middle, although we can’t say we’re thrilled with the ones Hasbro has already made.

Welcome Achk Med-Beq (Coruscant Outlander Club) to the basic figure. It’s literally the yin to Lt. Dannl Faytonni (Coruscant Outlander Club)’s yang. They are essentially the same exact figure. The only difference in that Achk Med-Beq (Coruscant Outlander Club) comes with an all-new head and has been repainted in many spots. He comes with a pretty decent likeness, and his facial tattoo is nearly perfect to what was seen in the film, but he suffers from “vice head”, something that 2002’s SW [S – P1] Padmé Amidala (Arena Escape) (‘02 #02) also has. His head sculpt is much too elongated and thin and it looks like it’s been caught in a vice and won’t bounce back to its original shape. It’s mostly noticeable from a straight on look at the action figure, so if you pose him in any many different from this, it shouldn’t be a big deal. Together, Achk Med-Beq (Coruscant Outlander Club) and Lt. Dannl Faytonni (Coruscant Outlander Club) (‘03 #29) look remarkable together and they work hard to create a scene of the Outlander Nightclub from Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones that we will never receive a play set for since Hasbro believes they’re unnecessary in today’s market.

Just like the Lt. Dannl Faytonni (Coruscant Outlander Club) (‘03 #29) figure, Achk Med-Beq (Coruscant Outlander Club) comes with the same exact accessories. But this time to provide some uniqueness, Hasbro gave him a blue bar glass. You can set them up in a diorama scene with the other characters in the Star Wars “Saga” line also from this scene and you can really create a nifty little setup that looks fantastic and is as interactive as you make it. Achk Med-Beq (Coruscant Outlander Club) may not be the first choice character you want to see in a basic figure line. But the Star Wars “Saga” line has taken a sharp turn and it now focusing on obscure characters for collectors. And many of them are turning out very well. Achk Med-Beq (Coruscant Outlander Club) comes with a hefty 14 points of articulation, but most of it is simple swivel articulation which doesn’t provide the best range of motion. It gives 180 degree movement instead of 360 degree movement. But it’s better than nothing. It’s very unlikely if Hasbro will ever redo Achk Med-Beq (Coruscant Outlander Club) with better articulation, so this may be your only chance to get one.
