At 18 years of age, young Qi'ra is already enmeshed in a life of crime, working for a gang on Corellia.

Wow! “Photorealistic” technology comes through in a big way once again! Ever since The Black Series [Phase III] Clone Captain Rex (59) 6” got released, collectors have been curiously inspecting every other figure released next in the line. Hasbro has finally mastered deco in the Star Wars action line, and while 3.75” figures need to follow this same protocol so they look as good as they can, we’ll all enjoy what Hasbro is doing in the 6” line for now. Hasbro has made every scale version of Qi'ra (Corellia) for the Solo: A Star Wars Story product launch. All of the various figures turned out well for the most part, but it goes without saying that The Black Series [Phase III] version of her is the best. And it’s all due to the face deco because the tolling below the next is about equal across all scale. It’s her likeness that makes the 6” version win, hands-down. We’ve mentioned before that Hasbro chose this particular outfit for Qi’ra. In the trailers and promotional materials, her outfits are a little more interesting and not so 80s/90s retro-inspired. But since they did choose this outfit, we must rank the figure based on what they did with the tooling, articulation, and likeness. And as far as we’re concerned, they’ve mastered this figure from head to toe. There is a tad of unevenness in the “photorealistic” deco application on our sample, but it’s rare when these figures look bad when this technique is applied. So, we’ll attribute it to a factory misstep.

Qi'ra (Corellia) has beautiful tooling, and the “photorealistic” deco greatly proves this. This does look like actress Emilia Clarke. The eyes in particular perfectly captured the actress’ stunning features. And it helps to bring out the contour of the detailed sculpt and confirm just how much goes into recreating a character’s likeness. This astute skill is also captured throughout the rest of the figure as well. Her outfit is incredibly realistic and lifelike and layered that you may believe for a moment that she is wearing real clothes. The shell of the jacket is removable. Hasbro must do this for a layering effect because it doesn’t make sense to display her without it. (She still has the sleeves of the jacket when the shell is removed.) The best part about this figure is the articulated blaster pistol. The barrel pushes downward for you to create her putting new bullets in the gun (or something similar). It’s an incredible move by Hasbro. To think that they’re adding this type of articulation to the accessories in a lovely gesture and very much appreciated. She doesn’t have anywhere to put the blaster when not in use. This version of Qi'ra (Corellia) (like all of the others) doesn’t come with a holster, or a purse, to place the blaster. We’re certain we’ll learn more about the reasons why once the film is released in theaters. Regardless, it doesn’t detract from the figure in any way. Collectors are going to love this release. There is no doubt.

Qi'ra (Corellia) fits in beautifully with the rest of the figures in The Black Series 6” line. Hasbro took her shorter stature into consideration and she is appropriately scaled next to other figures like Han Solo (62), Lando Calrissian (65) and Chewbacca. With perfect scale also comes perfect articulation. Qi'ra (Corellia) comes with the standard articulation of so many other The Black Series 6” figures before her, but the joints are incredibly fluid and move easily. Joints like the wrist and waist move with effortlessness and ease and it helps to pose her in various displays you create for this new Star Wars Entertainment. There is a major negative here, but before you are possibly misled, Qi'ra (Corellia), along with 4-LOM, is coming in solid case packs. But, the case assortment she’s part of is a terrible mix of old characters. Once retail gets these case assortments, they’re going to be jammed with Captain Poe Dameron (53) and DJ (Canto Bight) (57) figures instead. We’re not sure why Hasbro WILL NOT change their terrible case assortment ways. It’s retail suicide, and things keep getting worse instead of better. Figures should NEVER repeat from one case assortment to the next. The popular characters and their demand should be met via solid case packs. Until these changes take effect, retail will continually become a place where you’ll never find the latest Star Wars figures. There is so much evidence on this that we don’t understand why we’re stuck in this cycle. Regardless, be sure to find Qi'ra (Corellia). She’s pretty awesome.
