Kuill is the “other” figure Hasbro didn’t get into the super-articulated 3.75-inch line before the Retro Collection version. So, the Retro Collection Kuiil is the first 3.75-inch interpretation of this beloved character. That’s perversely backward. Kuiil is an Ugnaught who quickly became the primary caretaker of The Child, Grogu, before killed by the Galactic Empire. The short-statured character, played by Nick Nolte, is a warmly-embraced character from The Mandalorian Disney+ series. He offered Din Djarin knowledge, advice, and overall guidance while babysitting The Child when needed. And now Hasbro produced an excellent version of this character in The Black Series [Phase IV] lineup, including an incredible amount of detail and articulation into the figure. And with a version from The Vintage Collection coming soon, everyone will have the version of the character he or she wants. The Retro Collection Kuiil has a strong Kenner charm. It’s simply colored and basic in its articulation. It comes with a blaster rifle that only fits in its right hand. Hasbro sculpted the left hand without any grip. It’s not an option to pose the blaster. We also, likely, get a glimpse at the card art that will be part of The Vintage Collection version of Kuiil. To date, all Retro Collection figures match the card art of their super-articulated counterparts. For $9.99, you don’t get a whole heck of a lot of value here, but $10 seems the standard price for a 3.75-inch action figure these days.
