This distinctive collection features premium deco applications inspired by the end credit images from The Mandalorian, plus a collectible Galactic Credit accessory. After the fall of the Galactic Empire, usage of their form of money, Imperial Credits, became less common, with many planets refusing payments in the currency on principle.

Hasbro is “Kuiil-ing” us with all of these action figures based on the character Kuiil from The Mandalorian. While collectors warmly welcomed a 3.75-inch version and a 6-inch version, we also received Kuiil from the Retro Collection line. Now, we have Kuiil in the Credit Collection line. So, that means we have four Kuiil action figures and nary a Sim Aloo (and many others) anywhere. Hasbro needs to balance what they release better. They make us wait and wait for already long-awaited action figures and then rehash and re-release the same old characters because a particular Star Wars Entertainment is popular. It doesn’t make sense. When Star Wars is hot, that’s when Hasbro should produce the obscure for collectors. Collectors strike when the iron is hot. Hasbro hasn’t learned this yet, it seems. Plus, the Credit Collection has the Star Wars collecting community divided. Some love the colors as it reminds them of the original Marvel Star Wars comics, and others “hate” them for Hasbro wasting time and money on repainted action figures. If you can appreciate the artistic value of these action figures, you can understand what they bring to The Black Series 6-inch line. Admittedly, this version of Kuiil looks excellent.

Kuiil is a main character from The Mandalorian and is the species of Ugnaught. The character became a favorite Star Wars character for those who watch the series. Voiced by Nick Nolte (and with a striking resemblance to him in the mask), Kuiil plays a vital role in protecting The Child, whose name is Grogu. Unfortunately, the character dies protecting The Child, but his death wasn’t in vain. He promised to protect Grogu at any cost, even if that cost was his life. Despite Kuiil’s short tenure in The Mandalorian series, Hasbro developed multiple character action figures. And now, one of Hasbro’s most substantial figures from 2020 comes in the form of a colorful repainted action figure to add to the Credit Collection lineup. Whether or not you want to pay $5.00 more for it this time around is your decision, however. Kuiil brings all the personality and detail on the on-screen character into action figure form. And the colors help to align the style with the concept art produced for the series. Kuiil is an impressive 6-inch action figure because of its incredible design, excellent articulation, and colorful paint operations. As you know, Kuiil is shorter in stature than the average The Black Series 6” figures, but that’s because the character is an Ugnaught. And all Ugnaughts are shorter-statured creatures.

The head sculpt of the action figure is beautiful. And with Photo Real added to bring the figure to life, collectors will find little to nothing wrong with the final figure. From close up or afar, Kuiil’s paint operations are excellent and reflect the screen accuracy of all action figures from Hasbro should possess. More impressive, perhaps, is that Hasbro worked in the same amount of articulation as the rest of their standard 6-inch action figures. They didn’t take any shortcuts because of this action figure’s smaller size. Kuiil comes with many accessories, making up for the standard MSRP it commands. The first is a scarf/backpack combination piece. It’s easily removable. When you remove Kuiil’s portrait, you can slide it off to create a different character configuration. The scarf and backpack are connected and not detachable. Kuiil’s “skull cap and goggles” piece is also removable. Underneath is nothing but a bald head. Kuiil also comes with a blaster rifle. It’s a bit of a chore to wiggle into the action figure’s hands, but with a bit of patience, you can make it work. Interestingly, Hasbro gave the blaster rifle a molded strap. Hasbro cast the strap in a rubbery material, and it’s removable. It slides off of the blaster rifle relatively easily. And lastly, Kuiil comes with a uniquely colored Galactic Credit accessory which is standard in this exclusive lineup.
