Not all collectors are on board with Hasbro regarding the Retro Collection. But if you enjoy the line of 5POA action figures, you’ll likely appreciate it because you’re an original Kenner kid who grew up in the 70s and 80s when the original Kenner Star Wars line was active. After a dismal Sequel Trilogy, Disney Star Wars made a sharp left turn with their entertainment. Instead of focusing on films, they’re focusing on streaming shows across seasons. The Mandalorian is a show that fans of the franchise are universally praising. And Hasbro focused its attention on making toys based on the Disney+ series, and the toy line appears to be performing well. Hasbro extended their creative toymaking beyond The Black Series 6-inch line and The Vintage Collection 3.75-inch super-articulated line. They developed a Retro Collection line, which takes the classic Kenner approach for characters in new entertainment under the Disney Star Wars banner. We’re on our second wave of figures based on The Mandalorian, and they are selling well. Bo-Katan Kryze is a character part of this second wave. However, Hasbro didn’t go with a removable helmet feature, so the action figure becomes boring rather quickly. However, it’s a colorful addition to the line and looks excellent next to the other colorful characters in the second wave, so we anticipate it will do well on the market. The figure comes with five points of articulation and two blaster pistols. And other than that, there’s nothing much else to talk about here. Star Wars collectors need to anticipate that the Retro Collection will have a long life. Hasbro discovered they make the most money with it.
