All different types of droids populate the Star Wars galaxy. Each is different and has their own unique personality and colors. These four are featured in Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi.

May the Force be with you... and your Droids!!

Like clockwork, Disney Star Wars prepares a set of droids through the Droid Factory line and has them ready to go for collectors right around the time Star Wars Entertainment finishes up its inaugural run. There are a few surprises in the R3-T2/NED-B/Viper Probe Droid/1-JAC four-pack. Hasbro was the first to give us a 3/75-inch scaled NED-B action figure in the Retro Collection line, but Disney designed one with significantly more detail, paint operations, and articulation, so this version is superior. By God’s grace, we also get a Build A Droid version of a character from A New Hope: R3-T2. This aimlessly wandering Tatooine droid appears to have the same role in Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi as it did in Episode IV, but we get the character with enhanced detail, articulation, and corrected colors, something Adam Pawlus’ The Saga Collection Astromech Droid Pack Series I goofed up (multiple times). This set also has two odd characters, but you may like them. He first is a scaled-down Probot, now called a Viper Probe Droid. We believe these were part of Solo: A Star Wars Story, but now they have a role in Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Viper Probe Droid is notably more diminutive in size but has a decent amount of detail and articulation. It comes with five articulated appendages, each with two or three points of hinge-jointed articulation. The head also moves vis swivel articulation. The unique character in this set is 1-JAC, a 4-LOM-looking protocol droid that looks a lot like a C-3PX version of the bounty hunter, 4-LOM. It comes with new tooling compared to 2020’s Droid Depot 4-LOM action figure, including a new torso and revised legs (since they now have non-removable blasters). But they painted the figure nicely, and it’s a lovely addition to the line. This four-pack set went up for sale mispriced at $29.99, but once it came back in stock, Shop Disney corrected the price. If you ordered early, you made out like a bandit.
