Dok-Ondar is an infamous collector who buys, sells, and trades rare and valuable relics in his Den of Antiquities in Black Spire Outpost. A mysterious Ithorian, Dok-Ondar is sought after for his knowledge and connections.
Hasbro wants to punish you for wanting Momaw Nadon in The Black Series 6-inch line, and we will prove it to you. Firstly, they want you to indirectly campaign for creating Momaw Nadon, the most popular Ithorian in the Star Wars universe, by making you overpay for a character from the awful and dreadful Disney Star Wars universe. They want you to plop down $44.99 for this all-new tooling so that, in return, they'll repaint this SAME tooling in the darker colors of the character from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Because if they did it the other way around, they know they'd get stuck with too many leftover unsold Dok-Ondar figures. Who? Exactly. Underneath the soft goods and molded robes, you'll find a picture-perfect Momaw Nadon, complete with shorts, short sleeves, oh, and armbands. Although most Ithorians look alike, this head sculpt is a dead ringer for the Momaw Nadon seen in Chalmun's cantina. It's a lovely figure, but we're more angry that we paid off this character instead of Momaw Nadon. Hasbro may make us wait around a year before the figure we want to arrive, but it may satiate collectors of The Black Series 6-inch line who are desperate to see more aliens introduced. Don't hold your breath for a Snaggletooth. The 6-inch line might be 5POA before that comes to pass. We digress. Dok-Ondar – Really Disney, we're doing anagrams of Andor already? – comes with an admirable number of accessories. However, the price is still well above what people find acceptable nowadays. Hasbro perfectly fitted the off-white soft-goods robe to the figure, and you'll be impressed with how well Hasbro worked the hood to the figure's head. And the layered accessories on top help keep everything together without sacrificing the figure's movement. The two holocrons and the sword are well-sculpted and colorful, adding much to the figure when you display it. And if you get impatient waiting for Momaw Nadon, you can remove everything and have a lightly-colored interpretation of it until it comes to fruition. Expect a few other Ithorians from Hasbro in the next couple of years. They will NOT squander this tooling now that it's done. Roron Corobb is a likely candidate, too, especially since they're celebrating 20 years of Clone Wars. Dok-Ondar is an excellent figure, but it doesn't come without frustration and aggravation that they avoid the most popular characters like the plague to squeeze in the Disney Star Wars garbage. It's only a matter of time before we see all the characters we want, right?
