Cad Bane - TVC - Basic (VC283)

You will be happy or increasingly aggravated over The Vintage Collection Cad Bane action figure. After years of making collectors wait for a realistic interpretation of this Duro's bounty hunter, we finally get the character, but from the dreadful The Book Of Boba Fett live-action Disney+ series. They ignored Bane's classic appearance from The Clone Wars television series and went with a Disney Star Wars version of the character instead. Thankfully, there is a great deal of overlap between the costume from The Clone Wars and the outfit from The Book Of Boba Fett, so his action figure should maintain mass appeal. This all-new Cad Bane figure is a tremendous success in many ways. The tooling is excellent, and the likeness is superb. Many people criticized the live-action appearance of Cad Bane in The Book Of Boba Fett. Still, whatever your take, Hasbro mimicked the similarity of the character from the Disney+ series, so you know what to expect here.

Cad Bane comes with four accessories, although the figure has additional interaction and functionality beyond this. Hasbro worked in a removable duster shell, two blaster pistols, and a removable cowboy hat. But the figure also has permanent breathing tubes attached to the face. However, they attack a pack on the figure's back, which stays in place via a friction-based plug. It also limits the full range of head movement, but we appreciate the extra design. Hasbro worked in a beautiful amount of detail in Cad Bane, and you'll want to pay close attention to the details in the outfit. There is much to appreciate, from the buttons to the shirt to the ammo in the belt. The functioning holsters are beautiful, too. They house the blaster pistols when not in use and hang appropriately down the sides of the figure. Cad Bane's outfit is very brown, but you will find alternating shades throughout it, and Hasbro successfully captured the spirit of this character's costume well.

Hasbro placed Cad Bane on a The Book Of Boba Fett card. We're not thrilled about this choice, but perhaps you feel differently. After all of these years, Cad Bane should have debuted on a card featuring The Clone Wars entertainment logo. Hasbro will need to find a way to retool this Cad Bane action figure to give us an authentic interpretation of the character from The Clone Wars shortly. Regardless, Hasbro created a miniature work of art here. Cad Bane has a stunning articulation system. The figure comes with an inordinate amount of detail and is faithful to its Star Wars source. technology has come so far for the super-articulated 3.75-inch action figure line. Every new action figure Hasbro produces exceeds the expectations of the last. Overall, we're happy to see Cad Bane enter The Vintage Collection. Hasbro made a huge mistake not basing the character off of its appearance from The Clone Wars, but that appears to be our lot in life, nothing but Disney Star Wars.
