We rarely get all-new vehicles in The Vintage Collection. But they don't hold back on quality or design when Hasbro finally peppers them into the line. The all-new The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter is another fantastic feat achieved for the 3.75-inch action figure line. The most favorable under the Disney Star Wars banner, The Mandalorian has found its voice in an audience that feels it's the closest extrapolation of George Lucas' Star Wars. Not all collectors see eye to eye on this assessment, but most can agree that the many products Hasbro produces based on The Mandalorian have found favor with fans. N-1 Starfighters aren't all that common in the Hasbro Star Wars line, but we have two, both sourced to Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. The first, the Naboo Fighter (Electronic) release, was from the Episode I lineup. Then Hasbro upgraded this tooling and released a revised version in the Star Wars [The Phantom Menace 3D] lineup. Believing that Hasbro would likely revisit this tooling for The Mandalorian release, they rebuilt this vehicle from the ground up. They produced an impressive, high-quality vehicle for The Vintage Collection. Collectors of this line will love what Hasbro achieved here. From the many features based on the series to the aggressive approaches taken with detail and screen accuracy, there is much to rave about here, perhaps more than that to digest.

The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter has a stunningly gorgeous silvery paint job. It's not chrome but passes for a metallic look and feel. The vehicle has a smooth, sleek design, and Hasbro worked in incredible detail that should make most discriminating collectors happy. You'll also find various yellow markings throughout the vehicle to show contrast and accenting. Overall, it's a gorgeous creation. Hasbro also took the time to sculpt in different grating, nooks, and crannies. They added a bunch of these features throughout the vehicle, which helps to create a marvelous amount of texture. Then Hasbro ensured they added an excellent number of features here. The droid socket is removable, and in its place, you can add a seating area for Grogu. But if you prefer a droid co-piloting your vehicles, bringing that option back is a simple installation. They also added a projectile for play value, but it has little use. Perhaps most impressive here are the two display aids. First, a three-piece "invisible" stand attaches to the bottom of the vehicle to best recreate the vehicle in landing mode. But if you're into more aggressive display options, in that case, you'll love the two-piece display stand. It comprises a black base with The Mandalorian logo embossed on it, with a geodesic sphere ball attachment on the top of the transparent display attachment, allowing collectors to pose the vehicle in various flight modes. It's awesome.

We get a new Grogu figure with The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter. We're bored of this character in the basic figure line, but Baby Yoda is still famous, so it makes sense why Hasbro included another here. The more exciting pack-in figure is a new version of Din Djarin. This time, the figure is carded and called The Mandalorian (N-1 Starfighter) and is a revised figure based on 2020's TVC The Mandalorian (VC181) figure. This time, the figure has different leg parts. Hasbro also wholly repainted the figure, unique from the past version. The figure fits into the cockpit well, although its soft-goods cape bunches up unless you carefully tether it down before sliding the figure into place. The figure has the standard articulation of all previous The Mandalorian action figures, but this time comes with many new accessories. For this release, Hasbro includes a new soft-goods cape, a jetpack, a spear, the standard blaster pistol, a sword, and a knife. And Hasbro ensured they included an unpunched card to make carded collectors happy. We are confident we will see this figure re-released at some point in the future. They also ensured they packed the carded figure well into the box with the vehicle. You shouldn't have trouble having a mint specimen when you receive yours. We're thoroughly impressed with Hasbro's accomplishments with The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter. We'd love to see them incorporate all the upgrades made here into one based on Episode I. But there's little chance that will happen.
