Hasbro produced a line of Retro Collection action figures to support the Disney Star Wars Ahsoka series. The show is packed with women lead characters, one of which is Sabrin Wren, who made her debut in the popular Star Wars: Rebels series. Everything comes full circle in the Star Wars universe, so none of us should be surprised to see some of our favorite characters from past series reenter the saga in another way. Sabine Wren is a 5POA action figure, but surprisingly, the action figure comes with many accessories. Hasbro added a removable helmet, a green lightsaber, and then a blue blaster pistol, and a second yellow blaster pistol, which are replicas of the Mandalorian blaster pistols we've seen other characters use in various other Star Wars sources. We appreciate the attention to detail in the color of the blaster pistols. In the show, these colors served as accents on the weaponry. But to make it relevant to the Kenner format, they cast each one in a different color. That properly pays homage to the Kenner line. The details on the helmet and the deco on the figure are intricate. We're surprised to see so much specificity added to this figure, but it is appreciated. The likeness is fair as well, and the figure comes with purple hair, just like how we see in the show. Not all collectors are into the Retro Collection format, but it maintains a niche audience that provides enough support for the line. Sabine Wren is a decent addition to the line, and it may set a new precedent for what collectors expect from it.
