The judge presides over a Mandalorian training match between the foundling Grogu and Paz Vizsla's son, Ragnar.

Not again! No more Mandalorians, please! Besides, what is up with the Mandalorian Judge? We just learned that these are unidentified characters, generic at best. So, there isn’t much to write about when describing these figures. It feels like The Mandalorian television show is getting desperate and trying to reinvent Boba Fett for the umpteenth time. So, the answer is to give collectors rainbow-colored Mandalorian action figures like the Mandalorian Judge to help flesh out our collections. The figure isn’t terrible. Hasbro took 2024’s TVC Mandalorian Fleet Commander (VC314) figure and then repainted a few new parts to give us another unique character from the Disney+ series. But we feel the creators of this character took this character a bit too far when it comes to its coloring. It has a bright orange jetpack, helmet, armored pieces, and clashing teal-blue detailing. Interestingly, the teal-blue color on the visor inspired the Hasbro art department to choose this color for the card art: nameplate, figure backing, and reverse side.

Because Hasbro is Mandalorian obsessed, we’re not surprised to see the Mandalorian Judge added to The Vintage Collection lineup. It is an expected release. And to Hasbro’s credit, they got this figure out in The Vintage Collection line before The Black Series 6-inch figure line, which makes us especially happy. The Mandalorian action figures are beginning to look like those that were part of those horrid Entertainment Earth sets during the 30 (77-07) lineup, so it will not be a surprise when saturation sets into the psyches of collectors. That said, Hasbro created a faithful interpretation of this character on a 3.75-inch scale, which turned out better than anticipated. Like most other Mandalorian action figures, this character isn’t an earth-shattering release but a decent addition to the lineup. Although based on the Mandalorian Fleet Commander figure, it also shares some parts with past action figures from The Vintage Collection. Most of its newness stems from its paint operations and new soft-goods cape. The action figure feels much brighter than the on-screen character, so we wonder how well collectors will receive this figure.

Like many other Mandalorians from the streaming series, the Mandalorian Judge is identified, so, interestingly, there is some secrecy behind this character. Or there is a story arc to tell us more about this character for the future. As far as the action figure, its articulation is excellent. It comes with meaningful movement that allows you to position the figure as needed in your collection. The joints are tight, and the action figure holds poses well. You’re going to have a lot of fun with this figure. Additionally, the Mandalorian Judge has a removable jetpack that plugs tightly into the figure’s back. We also get a single Mandalorian blaster that the action figure manages to hold, but not too well. What’s nice about the helmeted portrait is that it comes with an articulated rangefinder. The paint operations on the Mandalorian Judge are sound, complete with accents and half-toning detailing to give it texture and realism. We can’t discount the figure because we’re tired of Mandalorians. If you’re a 3.75-inch super-articulated enthusiast, there is enough here to keep you interested, but it’s time to focus on the OT again.
