Jedi Master Tsui Choi travels to Eriadu at the end of the Clone Wars, encountering a squad of clones including BARC troopers.

We pretty much expected that after the first six Order 66 TARGET exclusive sets that if future ones came that we wouldn’t get anything more than kit-bashed or repainted figures. But with the Order 66 (Series 2) sets, we did get an all-new figure which collectors were extremely eager to secure for their collections. That all-new figure is Tsui Choi and he comes paired with a very interesting BARC Trooper. The two of them together make an excellent two-pack and come with simple but colorful paint jobs and humble accessories. While its hard to see visual manifestations of the Star Wars characters that make their debut appearances in comic books or hardcover books, many illustrations of both Tsui Choi and the BARC Trooper graced the pages of the Star Wars: Purge comic series. Another exciting Order 66 two-pack, 3 of 6 will obviously become one of the most popular sets because it’s the only place you can grab a member of the Aleena species in the basic figure line.

Although Tsui Choi makes multiple appearances in the Star Wars: Purge story, he actually made a cameo appearance in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith riding a can-cell during the Battle of Kashyyyk, making him a first time available character in the Order 66 sets from the films. We’ll take our action figures in any manner they come and since Tsui Choi makes many more appearances in the comics than the films, we’re fine with him arriving this way in the Order 66 sets. He is very short in stature, very similar to Yoda, and Hasbro has managed to squeeze in ten points of articulation into this modestly small sculpt. They’ve even given him a reduced lightsaber length and woven an all-new soft-goods Jedi robe with a wire hem to allow for some fun lightsaber dueling poses. He’s brightly colored, but the details are finely executed leaving a very realistic appearance. Tsui Choi comes with ball-jointed shoulders which are wonderful and swivel wrists so you’re really able to capture some dynamic poses thanks to this wonderful articulation.

The BARC Trooper figure is also very neat. Hasbro took the 2005 ROTS Clone Trooper (III 41) figure and then took the head from Commander Neyo in 2007’s TAC Treachery On Saleucami Battle Packs set and stuck it on the body. As you can imagine, this super-articulated take on the BARC Trooper is fantastic and is one of the best original (read as first time available) clone troopers in all of the Order 66 sets. The BARC Troopers can also be clearly seen in the Star Wars: Purge comics also. He comes prepared with a huge chain gun (which is quite heavy we might add) and a removable communications antenna, so there is some excellent play value for the kids here as well. And he has simple yellow stripes going down his helmet, chest and both arms. The yellow color of the BARC Trooper and the blue color of Tsui Choi ironically complement each other in positive ways. We think both figures get high marks in this set and it’s a complete steal to get an all-new figure and a super-articulated clone for less than ten dollars.
