Queen Breha Organa is Alderaan’s Minister of Education and the wife of Senator Bail Organa. Having longed for a child of her own for many years, Breha eagerly accepts one of Padmé’s motherless twins and adopts her as the daughter she always dreamed of having.

We can't help but simultaneously feel badly as well as feel contempt for Breha Organa. And we know contempt is a strong word, but Hasbro really made a beautifully sculpted and slightly articulated statue, not an action figure. And if a statue in place of an action figure is good for you, then you will find no fault with her, but we certainly aren't happy with the final product. She is anything but an action figure connoisseur's dream. Why Hasbro bothered to give her ball jointed elbows when they sacrificed her in every other way possible is beyond our comprehension. They don't really help her to be posed in a better stance and they may just help her hold the baby Leia accessory better, but it is really not enough to make us happy. Breha is a figure that really should have been made with a soft-goods dress. Her outfit is certainly simple enough where Hasbro could have used this medium. And since she has soft-goods draping from her head, it would have been a very nice combination. The plastic sculpted dress looks good, but it has affected the way Hasbro designed the rest of the figure. If you look at Breha Organa without 'playing' with her, she really isn't that bad, but once you realize her limitations, you may no longer be a happy camper. Her likeness however is more than fair, but we fear that this may not make the negatives a wash for you.

Breha has only eight points of articulation and they include her head, shoulders, elbows, wrists and waist. Her whole bottom section is molded nightmare. Her legs do not budge and only move when her waist is turned. This is an action figure travesty. Again, her legs are excellently molded, but this is not enough to give her the high marks she should deserve. Underneath her dress you can see lattice stockings and blue underwear. This will no doubt make a special subset of collectors very happy. The outside of her dress and the rest of her costume is beautifully colored and sculpted. Though it’s composed of hard plastic, the dress has the perfect drape and the folds and pleats of the dress are very realistic. There is a light gold color that appears almost like a wash from the second top layer of the dress to the top of her neck. It is very well painted and accents the light texture that was sculpted into the figure's dress. Despite being mostly a solid mold, Breha does stand quite well for a figure that you really can't tweak and repose. So in the sea of problems, the figure does have quite a few things that save it from total wreckage. Depending upon your sample, we have noticed that the figure's head can be moderately to very loose. There isn't too much consistency here and you won't know the degree of tightness your figure's neck will have until she is out of the package and into your hands.

Just like her husband, Breha Organa has been found with two distinct skin tones, one pale and one orangey tan. And the tan version looks a little bit better on her than it does on Bail Organa. But the problem with the 'running change' is that Hasbro didn't fix the flesh color on her arms or her legs, so she has two different skin colors. She is also much shorter and perfectly in scale with Bail Organa. This is another one of the figure's positive traits. We always tend to be happy when never before released figures get considered for the basic line, but if Hasbro attacks a hard sell to begin with like Breha Organa, they should put a little more elbow grease into the execution of it. This figure could have been tackled in many different approaches to lead to a better result. We don't know why the sacrifices were taken. We do know that if you look at this figure from behind a plastic bubble, you are not going to be aware of all the things we are complaining about and perhaps you are better off. But if you're looking to build MB-RA-7, you are going to need her to complete your droid. Background female action figures are always going to be harder to promote than other more common characters, but they are still wanted by the most hardcore collectors. And Hasbro could assure great support for these rarities if they just thought through better design options for them. We don't expect Breha Organa to get revisited any time soon, but hopefully Hasbro will bring us some impressive female figures in the very near future.
