A poorly kept secret for a while now, The Black Series 6" Flametrooper has been informally confirmed thanks to a listing on amiami.com. This is exciting news! Now we just need a listing for the 3.75" version to slip. Special thanks to our friends at Yakface.com for the alert!

UPDATE: It looks like the Finn (denoted by a 2) could be the Finn (FO Stormtrooper Disguise) figure we all assumed was coming. The Chewbacca is denoted with a "2" also.

JTA reader David B. writes in to share his shipping experience with Amazon. Apparently, some brilliant Amazon employees are slapping shipping labels right on the packaging for the exclusive 4-pack. Let this be a reminder to always use the 'gift' option when shipping items you want to keep in the package so that they are forcefully packed inside another box. Thanks for the heads-up David!

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and entertaining Black Friday! We're curious to know how you made on on your toys runs this weekend. Did you see your local Big Box brick and mortar stores stocked with the latest (or any) The Force Awakens toys? Is what Hasbro's CEO asserting coming true in your areas? Are The Force Awakens toys (the bread and butter – action figures) getting positioned well enough where it looks like there is a new Star Wars movie coming? We can say that this is NOT happening in our neck of the woods. Aside from one single TARGET store showing remnants of the PZ-4CO wave, pegs in my travels through PA and upstate NY yielded nothing but bare pegs and lots of Finns, Chewbaccas and Resistance Troopers. Hopefully you've had more success.

There is a local discount chain in my area called Forman Mills. Those who live near and around me know how annoying their commercials on television can be. As I was catching up on some behind the scenes stuff at JTA, I glanced up while the commercial was running because I heard "Star Wars" and thought I saw a TVC-styled card back of Kylo Ren. I said "nah, no way." As the commercial went off (and as I thought I was experiencing a mirage), I knew from experience that these commercials come on multiple times within minutes of each other. As expected, the commercial came on again but this time I was ready with my cell phone camera. I was right. Would you believe that Forman Mills used a custom TVC-styled Kylo Ren figure in their commercial? It is from Pinterest and can be seen RIGHT HERE. From Pinterest to a TV commercial. It's pretty funny that a TVC-styled card back is what grabbed Forman Mills first to promote Star Wars, huh? Actually it's not too surprising at all. It seems that Hasbro is the only company that chooses to not believe in the power of vintage-styled packaging. Could you imagine if the line came this way instead? Talk about FALSE ADVERTISING! (Or maybe it's just that Hasbro doesn't tell them anything either about The Force Awakens line and they have to rely on Google for their images too!)

I'm sorry this review is so late, everyone. I had a minor surgery last week so I haven't had the chance to see Wings of the Master until just recently. Now on to the actual episode!

Walmart.com has many Build A Weapon figures, including the latest PZ-4CO and Guavian Enforcer waves in stock for as low as $5.88 each. Some of the prices are all over the place, but most are $5.88 which is officially the cheapest price on the web right now for these figures. Well, it was only a matter of time before the news of poor Star Wars inventory at brick and mortar would make its way out there a whole lot more frequently. As you recall, we reported this news from our sources just a few short days ago. A simple Google search will also show you just how serious this is. Channel 10 news in San Diego have even ran a news story on it tonight. The bottom line is that The Force Awakens inventory is just not what it should be and it is looking more and more like it won't meet demand this holiday season. The forecasting was way off this time. And as we all know, Hasbro never does too well playing catch up. As we mentioned recently, if you see something, don't think it is going to be there tomorrow.

Oh no! I hate to complain about the new wave 2 TBS 3.75" figures already, especially when it's been the most exciting news of the year with regards to Hasbro products, but it looks like they screwed up the visor on the First Order Stormtrooper figure. Check out this auction for a better close up look. It seems they went "old school" Original Trilogy with this character. With an exclusive line that will see SO FEW releases, Hasbro MUST get the quality control in order because there isn't any time and extra money for running changes. Back in August, we provided a rumor report to you about recent The Black Series figures we learned had been finished up and would likely be prepared for release very soon. Two of them included Luke Skywalker (Trash Compactor) and Han Solo (Trash Compactor). As with all rumor reports revealed that far in advance, the finest of details aren't as clear and we believed that they would be 3.75" versions. But it looks like our friends at Yakface.com have provided some of that clarity today as these characters are likely coming in 6" scale instead (silly us)! In another development, they hint that action figure stands might be returning as well! Check out this great news!

Our friends at Yakface.com are reporting that The Black Series 3.75" Walmart exclusive wave 2 has hit North America (in Canada). It's hard to believe that these have made their way across multiple continents now and Walmart.com STILL doesn't have them up for pre-order yet.

Goodnes gracious. The Black Series 3.75" Walmart exclusive line is doomed. (This is totally my opinion and I have nothing to back it up but I will try.) Yes, it had a very rough and dry start on Force Friday. But wave 1 started making heavy appearances throughout the weeks after FF. Then stores starting getting too much of wave 1. Now this particular store (with special thanks to JTA reader John L. for the images) has RAISED the price to $14.92 each. This is obscene. Hasbro told me at the NYCC Preview Party that Walmart knows how important this line is and how "lucky" they are to have exclusive rights to it at the moment, but this is the biggest problem with having a monopoly on the collectors' line. Thank God in heaven I grew up in the 80s where special interest, political correctness and hypersensitivity didn't rule the world. And with all of the hypocrisy by current female role models/stars, it only puts salt in the wound. Women today dress a whole lot worse in music videos and on the beach than how a toned Carried Fisher looked in Return Of The Jedi who was being subjugated by a gangster who paid the ultimately price for his wrongdoings. Maybe the focus should be placed there first. You'd think positive physical fitness would be a tremendous role model for young girls. Sorry for the opinions, but MakingStarWars.net has pretty compelling dialogue from Star Wars artist J. Scott Campbell suggesting that licensing for all "Slave Leia" merchandise will eventually cease. It has our blood boiling a bit. I suppose that she will be digitally edited out or covered up in future versions of the film too. Hey, let's just pretend she didn't exist. JTA reader Tony has found The Black Series 6" wave 2 at his local Toys R Us. While we haven't seen a blessed thing in our areas, it's nice to know that at least some locations are getting new stuff!

Walmart.com is charging a mere $22.99 for the Build A Weapon Captain Phasma action figure. Perhaps they caught on to how popular she is. Or could this be a mislabeled TBS6 figure? Or has the whole world just gone mad because The Force Awakens line is currently one scattered mess at the moment?

Ever-changing Amazon is, but Amazon.com has taken The Black Series [Phase III] 6" 4-Pack off of pre-order. (i.e. you can't order it at the moment). After the delay and now this we wonder what is going on with this awesome multipack. We hope nothing and this is no alarm of any kidn at all.
