Wow. JTA reader mintoncard writes in to let us know that he found The Black Series 6" wave 5 at Toys R Us. We believe this is one of the first (if not the first) store reports of this.
Jedi Temple Archives -
While out and about today, I stopped into my local (Fresno, CA) Toys-R-Us and was surprised to see the Star Wars Black Series 6” Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Jedi Luke & Sandtrooper on the pegs. I hadn’t heard any store reports of these figures except for Walgreens so far, so I thought I would send in my report.

Two of the Star Wars Rebels Mission Series sets that were previously listed as not shipping until late November are now listed as IN STOCK on Amazon. This moves up their ship-date by 3 weeks. Hopefully this means we will see the basic figures landing soon too! Both the R2-D2/C-3PO and Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios/Stormtrooper are now available for $10.99 each (and qualify for free shipping). Many of the basic figures are finally showing up in searches too, but from 3rd party vendors at inflated prices.

The Black Series six inch Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) is now down to $22.99 on Amazon.com to go along with the six inch Chewbacca. Both are listed in-stock and free (eligible) shipping. Also, the Stormtrooper has become a regular at $17.99 if you are looking for this one at a below-retail price!

I received my Toys R Us The Great Big Christmas Book in the mail yesterday. As I thumbed through it, I couldn't help but notice that Star Wars was represented by one piddly page that showcases nothing but Star Wars Command and some role play items. Not even their exclusives are represented. Sad, sad, sad.....

Wow! Our Research Droids Review on The Black Series 6" Darth Vader is really creating a buzz on our Facebook page and in our comments. Our readers are almost split down the middle on this figure. Some say it's terrible and others love it. We're actually in the middle. But one comment made us snort from Facebook follower Shane P. He wrote "[he] looks like a ken doll on Halloween." Obviously Darth Vader needs some fine tuning. I think it's a decent jumping off point, but things need to be corrected before I fall for it hook, line and sinker! Feel free to continue the discussion here.

You know what Obi-Wan says about "luck" so it can't be that. It's often said that truth is stranger than fiction. And we believe this definitely applies to the recent Star Wars "Shadow Of The Dark Side" vehicle two-packs showing up at both Kmart and Ollie's, especially when it comes to faithful JTA reader Mike R.'s own purchases. He sends us a nearly unbelievable tale of what was "wrong" with almost every single vehicle he bought in these Special Value multipacks. Were they all (in one form or another) reject vehicles? Or did they just coincidentally have one problem or another? You better check out the contents of your boxes, because you probably won't believe what Mike has discovered with his own. You know that we are generally conspiracy theorists, but will this tale also bring you to the dark side of faith as well? Click through for more....

Yours truly hasn't had the best luck at TARGET. But I was quite elated to see remnants of wave 4 on the pegs. Now all that's happening is that Yoda is multiplying like bunny rabbits. Those jerks at BanthaSkull.com have already stolen my thunder with this article since they posted a relatively similar article idea before me, but one thing is for sure. Yoda is clearly passe! Expect him to grow in true Fibonacci sequence fashion!

With our NYCC Hasbro Q&A, we asked Hasbro where in the world the Star Wars: Rebels figures are. They confirmed that they had been shipped to retail. Yet, they're nowhere to be found. We brought up the possibility that what if Star Wars: Rebels figures shared the same assortment number as current Saga Legends and Mission Series figures and our friends at Yakface.com helped us discover that this is indeed the case. (What is it that they say about history again?) Our friends at Yakface have also confirmed visually that some stores (other than TRU and like Walmart in the thumb below) have also begun setting up shop for the line. Hopefully some new figures are impending, but how do you feel that the show has been reviewed, teased and officially shown, yet now product has made its any anywhere yet? Your comments requested, please. It it more than just instant bottle-necking, or did something else happen here? Hopefully product will arrive by the time this gets posted, but if it doesn't, let us know your thoughts!

Sweet irony. The perfectly beautiful long-awaited Bastila Shan figure JTA reader Bombadgungan has wanted for "years" couldn't have arrived in better condition except for one major issue. Our Q&A session was with Hasbro rep, Joe Ninivaggi, Senior Brand Manager, Star Wars. He was a complete pleasure to interview and I hope he knows he is my new best friend. The banter back and forth was enjoyable, humorous and poignant. And he was completely upfront about where Hasbro stands with collectors and the Star Wars brand itself. You shouldn't expect to hear your first desired answers to these questions, but we think you'll like to hear what he had to say. So, without further adieu….

But sadly they're still not coming (as as right now at least). Just so we can gloat a little bit (we're kidding, honestly), to date, no images of the fabled AT-RT Driver and Republic Trooper TVC repacks (for The Black Series line) from JTA's exclusive rumor report have surfaced to date, but flyguy.net has them. Check them out.... before Hasbro does something about it. (Just kidding again!) It's cool to see that these were definitely coming! How do we know these aren't TVC images? Because the Republic Trooper was on a colored background in a different pose.

Our Q&A will be coming to you as soon as humanly possible. We have over 25 questions answered and we have to say that for the first time in a long while we were pleased with the answers, even if they weren't answers we wanted to hear. Straightforward, upfront and humorous at times all describe our interaction with my new best friend and Hasbro rep Joe N. Until we get that Q&A posted, I wanted to share some important details about what was revealed with some details that you likely won't read anywhere else (or at least we hope this is true). The Hasbro Preview Party was honestly a breath of fresh air. Even I went in hanging my head that it would just be a refresh of SDCC reveals. To my unexpected surprise they were all-new reveals (save for a key bunch of main characters. Some of these points will be regurgitated in our Q&A, but time is of the essence and we want you to see it here. (more….)

We at JTA tend to have a strict policy not to clutter our front page with YouTube videos and novelty Star Wars mash-up images. After all, why would you want your front page to be an aggregate of YouTube.com? (It certainly escapes us...) Anyhow, we have to make an exception here. Although this silly image exceeded our expectations with how many of our Facebook fans got a kick out of it, we just HAD to steal a comment from JTA Facebook follower Mike Mackey so our non-Facebook readers could enjoy it. He said "If you are old enough to get this... you probably still owe money to the Columbia House Record and Tape Club." Best.... comment.... EVER! Enjoy! Figure switch-outs have gone e-tail! JTA reader Arnold Corso ordered one The Black Series Stormtrooper from Amazon Warehouse (the discount section of Amazon.com). But somebody did a bait and switch and returned another figure instead. Although Amazon.com boasts they inspected it (as evidenced by the attached sticker), the wrong figure was ultimately shipped. To be fair, we cannot fault Amazon.com, but the person or thing that switched out the Stormtrooper figure... unless it was factory error. So many possibilities indeed exist. Regardless, is this what collecting has come to now? We complain and complain about what Hasbro isn't doing, then "collectors" steal from them (if that's what transpred here). All of this shrinkage adds up. And stuff like this happens way too often. Click through for more.

One of our most favorite figures in the Power Of The Jedi line, that isn't sourced to the Original Trilogy, is the Battle Droid (Boomer Damage) figure. Sometimes the other things that an action figure is packed with can be more exciting than the actual action figure itself. Be sure to leave your own thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even leave comments about it on our Facebook page. Click the banner below for the direct link to the review! As always, you can also send your own personal review requests via email if you'd like to see something that we didn't cover yet.
