Beating out two of the better deals of the year (the $64 TARGET.com deal and the $76 Walmart mid season deal), the Clone Turbo Tank is being blown out at Walmart stores for under $50.00. Collectors in the Princeton, NJ area may want to check out the Lawrenceville store as there are 3 hiding in the Lawn & Garden Center area on a clearance rack as of this morning. Be sure to read our review on this awesome vehicle too!

So, if you're looking for Rum Sleg, trek out to TARGET, you likely will find him there! And don't forget to check out our reviews on this awesome wave too!

The clearance continues! JTA reader Gabe M. writes in "I went to Target today (12-28-09) to see if I could find a Jabba's Rancor on sale. Sure enough, they had only one and it was on sale for $24.98! That's half off the original price! The box was kinda jacked but that's okay with me since I open most of my figures. Again, it was the only one I found in my area (Hayward, CA), so if other readers want one, they should start looking ASAP. I've included a pic of the toy with the sale price on the top right. Cheers." So there you have it! The prices keep dropping! Let us know if this is true in your area as well!

We meant to post this weeks ago but we just were for some reason reminded about it today. There is a packaging variation (for those of you who still care about carded variations) on the new AT-AT Driver (BD49) in the Legacy Collection. One version has him with the helmet on while the other has it with his packaged on the side separately. Our good friends at Imperial Shipyards have a great picture of it in their forums. Be sure to stop by and check it out.

OK, this one is unreal folks! Hasbro has reintroduced the Blockbuster Value! two-packs at TARGET, but this time the figures are the relatively brand new Return Of The Jedi wave including the new Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia (Slave), Ewoks, Giran, Nikto Gunner and running change Ugnaught among many others! Do you believe this!? They rang up for $7.94 each at our local TARGET! What a steal! (And not such a good sign for the basic line we fear!) There was nothing but empty shelves for months and then a floodgate of product, now clearance! So we don't know what it is going to take for Hasbro to straighten their distribution issues out any more, but it does seem that collectors will reap the benefits of it! The Saga Legends line and Transformers Crossovers are also part of this BOGO special! Run to TARGET now! Click through for the proof!

Is Walmart giving collectors an early Christmas present? Probably not, but we found multiple stores stocked with The Empire Strikes Back wave on this glorious Christmas Eve. (It's a Christmas miracle!) Needless to say we stocked up, but it may be worth your while to check out your local stores before they close to see if you will luck out as well. Is it politically correct in Star Wars collecting to say that one is tired of clones? Well, we are not ashamed to admit that we are, especially those that appear in The Clone Wars television show. The whole media event of The Clone Wars is excellent and we do not want to take away from that, but the Hasbro figures based on the characters in it are taking a back seat in very negative ways. Research Droids Reviews contemplates the frightening trend these figures are seeing and wonders if quality will return in the near future. The Resurgence Of The Jedi Battle Packs set has been a bit elusive at the moment, but it is making semi-frequent appearances at Toys R Us (we haven't found them anywhere else yet). Be sure to do your best to locate this set and pick it up because it will likely be the sleeper hit of the year. Shipping only in one remix case and at one per case (right now - anything can change), it will most likely be a beast to find and purchase, but it will be well worth it! And we hope all of you will check out the Research Droids Reviews article on this set (just posted today) because we are confident you will be very impressed with all of its contents!

JTA reader Tim Goebel writes in to say "I found the ROTS wave [at KOHL's] on Black Friday and last Friday night. Took advantage of the sale. Actually, Christmastime is the only time I buy SW figures at Kohl's. The midnight sales make 'em more affordable." So there you have it. It appears more and more figures are getting out to KOHL's (as well as many other retailers) and that coupled with great sale prices are making this Fall a very good one for collectors! Thanks Tim!

We purchased Legacy Collection, Saga Legends and The Clone Wars figures today at our local Walmart and were surprised to discover that they are ringing up at $6.00 even. We do not know how widespread this is, but ours were purchased in the Philly area. While not as enticing as the recent Kmart BOGO or Toys R Us 2 for $11.99, it is still a savings on almost $2 off the MSRP. (We just want you to be aware of all the deals out there.)

Just a very quick and small update to our previous report, we have also found Wave 2 represented in the Walmart Blockbuster Value! two-packs as well (blue TLC of course). Obi-Wan Kenobi, Clone SCUBA Trooper (which is interesting since he just got rereleased in the red phase), Quarren Soldier and IG Lancer Droid are all being found in these two-packs now.
