The clearance continues! JTA reader Gabe M. writes in "I went to Target today (12-28-09) to see if I could find a Jabba's Rancor on sale. Sure enough, they had only one and it was on sale for $24.98! That's half off the original price! The box was kinda jacked but that's okay with me since I open most of my figures. Again, it was the only one I found in my area (Hayward, CA), so if other readers want one, they should start looking ASAP. I've included a pic of the toy with the sale price on the top right. Cheers." So there you have it! The prices keep dropping! Let us know if this is true in your area as well!

We meant to post this weeks ago but we just were for some reason reminded about it today. There is a packaging variation (for those of you who still care about carded variations) on the new AT-AT Driver (BD49) in the Legacy Collection. One version has him with the helmet on while the other has it with his packaged on the side separately. Our good friends at Imperial Shipyards have a great picture of it in their forums. The Resurgence Of The Jedi Battle Packs set has been a bit elusive at the moment, but it is making semi-frequent appearances at Toys R Us (we haven't found them anywhere else yet). JTA reader Tim Goebel writes in to say "I found the ROTS wave [at KOHL's] on Black Friday and last Friday night. Took advantage of the sale. Actually, Christmastime is the only time I buy SW figures at Kohl's. The midnight sales make 'em more affordable." So there you have it. It appears more and more figures are getting out to KOHL's (as well as many other retailers) and that coupled with great sale prices are making this Fall a very good one for collectors! Thanks Tim!

Toys R Us started a basic figure sale this morning good through December 18th. The promotion is two basic figures for $9.99. Their stock is a little depleted at the moment, but you never know what might show up on shelves with the stores receiving multiple trucks a week now!

After the massive popularity of HK-47, Hasbro decided to go back to the same sculpt and repaint it for another Build A Droid pack-in figure. KOHL's has Star Wars figures on sale for $6.53 each (they are normally $10.99 - ouch!). Not a lot of variety, but if you have one near you, it might be worth stopping and checking out their stock!

Toys R Us is getting thoroughly stocked with the A New Hope wave of figures. We saw 4 cases each in two Philly stores. If you still need these and cannot find them at Walmart or TARGET, this is your chance!

Do you believe that almost four years have passed since the 2006 The Saga Collection AT-AT Driver was released? It's true, he came out in January of 2006. Hasbro has made a new version of him from the ground up for the Legacy Collection and the improvements are quite impressive, especially in the helmet. We have found an amazing photo bucket/website housed with TONS of behind the scene Star Wars images including many DELETED SCENES. We encourage you all to spend some time and thoroughly enjoy these images as much as we have. We bumped into a Hasbro representative at our local Walmart this morning and she confirmed that the Walmart $6.00 figure sale is indeed nationwide. We purchased Legacy Collection, Saga Legends and The Clone Wars figures today at our local Walmart and were surprised to discover that they are ringing up at $6.00 even. We do not know how widespread this is, but ours were purchased in the Philly area. While not as enticing as the recent Kmart BOGO or Toys R Us 2 for $11.99, it is still a savings on almost $2 off the MSRP. (We just want you to be aware of all the deals out there.)

Just a very quick and small update to our previous report, we have also found Wave 2 represented in the Walmart Blockbuster Value! two-packs as well (blue TLC of course). Obi-Wan Kenobi, Clone SCUBA Trooper (which is interesting since he just got rereleased in the red phase), Quarren Soldier and IG Lancer Droid are all being found in these two-packs now.

For those of you still looking for the latest wave of Comic Packs, be sure to check your local Walmart. Walmart is getting a ton of them in their stores. It sure looks like as if poor distribution has made for a super heavy Fall release schedule. But at least they are here now, better late than never!

It is rumor no more! The Official Celebration V site has posted the announcement confirming Orlando as the location, and August 12-15 as the dates! Happy birthday to me! Looks like I'll be celebrating my birthday in Orlando!
