Thank the Maker for Kenner’s Imperial Stormtrooper (Hoth Battle Gear) action figure. It’s unequivocally one of my most favorite figures of the entire line, but I feel this may be the case for many people like me who grew up with the line. More commonly called a Snowtrooper, the elongated Kenner moniker of Imperial Stormtrooper (Hoth Battle Gear) gave young fans of the line clear indication to whom these troopers are loyal. The figure didn’t come with an articulated head, but the soft vinyl skirt and blue blaster rifle heightened the excitement and playability of this action figure. Not only did Kenner make a fantastic figure of the Imperial Stormtrooper (Hoth Battle Gear), they also created multiple playset environments for these action figures to interact. Sets like the Imperial Attack Base provided an incredible backdrop for these characters, and we all experienced how amazing it was. And I would be remiss to neglect to mention that the Imperial Stormtrooper (Hoth Battle Gear) figure was the perfect candidate to fill the back of the Imperial AT-AT vehicle. The play was endless. Hasbro produced too many modern version of this character and even added the Snowtrooper Commander to the lineup in THE BLACK SERIES [PHASE I] lineup, but all miss the mark in one way or another. Here is hoping that Hasbro gives us our long-overdue definitive version of the Imperial Stormtrooper (Hoth Battle Gear) sooner than later.
