Jedi Master Shaak Ti is an esteemed member of the Jedi Council and serves as a Republic general in the Clone Wars. She is one of the first Jedi to encounter General Grievous, the supreme commander of the droid armies.

Most who collected the line felt that Hasbro could better the 12 Inch Figures. There were some fantastic ones throughout the years of changing line looks, but on average, many didn’t meet fans’ expectations. But by 2005, for the Revenge Of The Sith line, Hasbro stepped up their game like never before, and they created some of the best 12 Inch Figures the Star Wars line had ever seen. Two of the standout figures from the 12 Inch Figures assortment are Barriss Offee and Shaak Ti. Coincidentally, most, if not all, of the scenes of these two characters ended up on the cutting room floor, making their addition to the line bittersweet. Still, both Jedi made significant screen time in Attack Of The Clones, so fans could add them to those display focuses instead. Shaak Ti is the better of the two female Jedi figures in the Revenge Of The Sith line. Hasbro developed an all-new body which both female Jedi share. But each comes with stunning outfits with lush fabrics and, of course, their unique portraits and accessories. Shaak Ti is a phenomenal 12 Inch Figure. It will hold up throughout the years, not age, as it maintains the integrity of the beloved Jedi Master beautifully. With a complex head sculpt with a more complicated deco/paint scheme, Shaak Ti’s success should not be dismissed by collectors. She was a difficult 12 Inch Figure to produce, and Hasbro should be very proud of the final production figure. Sadly, the core audience who supported the line has slowly dissipated, and sales had waned over the years. We suppose things like this are inevitable.

But that shouldn’t stop shining a spotlight on Shaak Ti! She is a reason to rejoice what the 12 Inch Figures line can bring to collectors! With a crepe fabric robe, large colorful ornamentation, and a layered approach not seen in the 12 Inch Figures line until now, Hasbro expertly crafted a fine collectible interpretation of the Togruta, and if you enjoy this scale, she will remain a focal point in your collection for years. Designed with a buck closer to a Barbie doll than a GI Joe figure, Shaak Ti does experience balance issues. For her not to topple over, you’re likely going to have to use the doll stand that came packaged with her at all times. It has a u-shaped design that is placed in the crotch area of the figure and provides a decent, albeit, an imperfect center of gravity for display purposes. The clear plastic used to cast it is meant to be “invisible,” but it does a fair job of hiding itself when interacting with the Shaak Ti figure. Shaak Ti comes with adequate articulation, but the main focus for collectors include the premium material used to design her, the gorgeous likeness of the portrait, and the exquisite and neatly applied multiple colors used to ornament the figure. We feel strongly that Shaak Ti comes with plenty of movement, but if you’re obsessed with articulation, she may not meet all of your needs in that area. While we excited to see such incredible quality worked into Shaak Ti, she does make so many previous 12 Inch Figures look obsolete. However, this is nothing new if you’ve been collecting Star Wars figures for years.

Aside from the two-piece display stand, Shaak Ti comes with a lightsaber hilt and blue lightsaber blade. The lightsaber hilt is obnoxiously too thick, while the blade looks to be accurate in length and thickness. We’re not sure what went so wrong with the lightsaber hilt. With a great deal of patience, you can position Shaak Ti into some energetic poses, but keep in mind it will try your patience. These 12 inch Figures were intended for display in less dramatic poses only. Getting them to do things that require more balance is asking for trouble. However, her limitations as a poseable action figure don’t affect our affection for this figure in the slightest. We can’t rave enough about her costume, her likeness and the fact that Hasbro made a background Jedi Master like her for the 12 Inch Figures line. If only the 2005 ROTS Shaak Ti (III 21) figure looked as good we’d be very happy collectors. Get Shaak Ti. She’s an excellent 12 Inch Figure and perhaps the highlight of all 12 Inch Figures produced by Hasbro. Ultimately, the 2005 Revenge Of The Sith line is the last of Hasbro’s 12 Inch Figures. Shaak Ti is one of two figures of the final wave they’ll produce. They’re leasing their license out to Sideshow Collectibles, and going forward that’s the only retailer that will produce Star Wars 12 Inch Figures. It’s sad that there will not be any kid-focused (or reasonably-priced) 12 inch Figures from Hasbro on the market anymore. It was a fantastic run, but we’d be lying if we didn’t say we’re melancholy that it’s come to an end for collectors.
