In an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue, Cassian Andor embarks on a path that will turn him into the rebel hero who will challenge the evil Galactic Empire.

Suppose the Luthen Rael action figure is any indication of the insufferable boredom of the Disney+ series Andor. In that case, we fully understand why people have lost brisk interest in the live-action series. Luthen Rael is an excellent action figure, one of the finest in The Black Series 6-inch lineup, but it’s incredibly stale and repetitious. It doesn’t bring anything new or exciting to the action figure line. These drab, earth-toned human characters are killing the excitement for Star Wars action figure collecting, and unless something changes drastically soon, we believe the interest will continue to wane. Since its inception, Star Wars has been strongly supported by background aliens and droids, something the current series often ignore or place periodically without any fanfare. And if they are introduced in the series, Hasbro isn’t too keen on producing them for the action figure line. The Luthen Rael action figure, once again, is excellent. It looks like a dead ringer for the on-screen actor, and Hasbro should be proud of what they accomplished here. The figure has four accessories: a removable trench coat shell, a knife with a “baton” sheath, and a blaster pistol. The figure looks wonderful outfitted with its gear, and although the trench shell is removable, it seems silly because the arms are still covered with the sleeves of the trench coat. The Photo Real deco on the face of this action figure is extraordinary. We often feel that Hasbro can’t improve this process, but every successive release appears to be better than the last. This all-new action figure comes with a healthy dose of articulation. Their movement is fluid and smooth, and we had no difficulty aside from the “rocker” ankles. We believe the feet are too small to support the figure’s body weight. It’s not a huge issue, but we noticed that the figure would fall if we didn’t adequately anchor the feet. If you’re a fan of well-made action figures, then Luthen Rael won’t disappoint. But if you’re looking for some spice in your collection, this is as close to needing salt and pepper as possible. It’s painfully bland, and while it’s nice to get action figures of all types, this feels more of the same. The diversity of characters is the spice of Star Wars. We need a lot more seasoning in the line.
