Gentle Giant released details on their next Star Wars PGM gift: Star Wars The Emperor Jumbo Action Figure: Power of the Force Edition

Inspired by the vintage Star Wars figures of your childhood, Gentle Giant is proud to bring you the Emperor in jumbo size! Digitally scanned from mint 3 ¾” vintage originals and reproduced in 12” scale, no detail has been overlooked. Roto and injection molded and made of durable plastics, this fully-articulated jumbo figure includes a faithfully re-produced cane accessory and POTF coin. To further capture the vintage feel, Gentle Giant has packaged this figure with a Power of the Force-inspired backer card featuring original photos and artwork. Designed with the collector in mind, the figure comes in a re-sealable plastic outer clam shell to help protect and display this limited edition figure.

Gentle Giant posted 2 new Star Wars pre-orders: The Force Awakens First Order Flametrooper Mini Bust and The Empire Strikes Back Darth Vader. The Darth Vader statue looks to be similar to the Darth Vader with the light-up base released in 2007 but possibly without the light-up base (there's no button on the back). The scale is also listed at 1/8th scale and 7 inches tall. The original release is closer to 1/6th scale and 11" tall. You can check out the earlier release right here and compare for yourself.

Gentle Giant Ltd. posted a video on YouTube back on December 4th that sadly went unnoticed. But if you check it out and look carefully, you'll see new things that have yet to be officially announced. We also couldn't help but notice what looks to be a (GASP!) 6" vintage Kenner Boba Fett "mid-size" figure. Hopefully that's just a scaled version for better referencing or something else, but that looks oddly finished in our minds. Could it be that Gentle Giant Ltd. will be starting an all-new vintage Kenner scaled line? Anyway, even if that's not the case, definitely check out the video!
