The Retro Collection is back and here to stay! Check out the Boba Fett (Morak) figure. Do you feel that 5POA is not OK too? (more….)
JTA reader Aaron H. found the latest Retro Collection figures at his local Target in Eastern PA. Although the box had a street date, they were not register-locked.
Longtime JTA reader and friend Robert F. visited his local Ollie’s only to find a slew of new discounted Hasbro Star Wars products. Two are Walmart exclusives, and the other didn’t make it further than online. It’s amazing to see how much product never arrived in stores by visiting your local Ollie’s. Many never saw the “Force Spirit” Yoda at their local Walmarts. No one wanted a 5POA cardboard playset. And even fewer collectors anted a new scale of rubbery hyper-articulated action figures known as Hyper Real. if Hasbro is smart, they’ll stick to what sells: TBS6, TVC, and stay away from the ST like it’s the toxic wasteland it is. You have to wonder what the heck is going on at the distribution centers.
It’s another Hasbro cash-grab! The Target exclusive Retro Collection Stormtrooper (Prototype Edition) figure is more of the same. Are you getting tired of these yet? Why can’t they use pastel and black and white plastics for these things? (more….)
Tonight’s Visual Guide update features the Target exclusive Boba Fett (Prototype Edition) from the Retro Collection. Click below to check out the full Visual Guide. You can also check out our full review right here.
Stop the press! There is a new RDR in town! Let’s take a look at the six variants of the brand-spanking-new Target exclusive Boba Fett (Prototype Armor) 3.75-inch action figure that you probably cannot find yet. It’s more of the same, but at least it’s Boba Fett! However, is this figure really a prototype? (more….)
We’re about a year and a half out from the Retro Collection Return Of The Jedi figures, so that means that Hasbro is planning the assortment as we speak. What six candidates do you want to see realized in this assortment of 5POA action figures? We think we’ve picked the 12 most popular characters, but you may have different feelings about this. Let us know in the comments! If you need some help recalling the original Kenner RETURN OF THE JEDI figures, click HERE.
Found! JTA reader Charlie found the Retro Collection The Mandalorian figures at his local GameStop store! Let the hunting commence! Charlie is from Florida.
5POA is never OK, but what if it means you’ll get a TVC collector quality figure of Ahsoka Tano’s astromech droid? That’s what the Jedi Order Celebrate The Saga offers collectors! (more….)

We finally get OOM-10 in the Fan Channel exclusive Galactic Republic Celebrate The Saga multipack. But it’s a crappy 5POA version. It’s maddening! (more….)

We find it rather unfortunate that the best-looking Princess Leia (Hoth) figure is the Photo Real update found in the Rebel Alliance Celebrate The Saga multipack. Luke and Han also look pretty good too. Dang it, Hasbro! (more….)
How can anyone possibly “celebrate the saga” with a set based on The Last Jedi? Also, Hasbro hates Rose. She’s nowhere to be found here. 5POA is never OK, but OUCH, The Resistance Celebrate The Saga multipack is EXTRA painful. Not even the Photo Real helps these monstrosities. Well, maybe a little. Regardless, you’re probably not going to want this one for any reason. Are you buying the rest of these sets for your collection? (more….)

5POA is never OK, but at least Hasbro did something good with the Celebrate The Force multipacks, a parting gift for collectors as they close the tooling archives on these figures forever. The Bounty Hunters set includes a new take on R5-P8 that uses the same tooling as a The Vntage Collection figure. This character first saw release in Disney’s Droid Factory line. The rest of this multipack is a waster Are you buying these sets for your collection? (more….)

5POA is never OK, but at least Hasbro did something good with the Celebrate The Saga multipacks, a parting gift for collectors as they close the tooling archives on these figures forever. The Galactic Empire set includes a new take on R2-Q5, a figure we haven’t seen Hasbro release is 19 years. And the included TIE Fighter Pilot and Snowtrooper sculpts are better than their current super-articulated counterparts. The rest of the set is “meh.” Are you buying these sets for your collection? (more….)

If you ordered the various “Celebrate The Saga” 5POA multipacks, the one from Best Buy has shipped their exclusive “Galactic Empire” set and is beginning to arrive at collectors’ doorsteps. JTA reader ff sends us the report and image. If you’d like to order them, they all contain exclusive figures (mostly droids), and links for all of the CAN BE FOUND HERE.
Hasbro went super-cheap on the BB Units for the Galaxy’s Edge Trading Outpost line. They aren’t from the Disney Droid Factory line. They’re from the 5POA TFA/SW [TLJ] Two-Packs sub-lines, which means they don’t split in half or have a lot of movement or play features. What a huge disappointment. We begin looking at these with the BB Units [Blue/White] set. (more….)
A major focus of today’s livestream were the new “Celebrate the Saga” figure packs. These packs will offer highlights from the 5 POA figure line for one last time, Hasbro will put the 5 POA 3.75 in line into the “vault” after that. Hasbro said it doesn’t necessarily mean there will never again be 3.75 in 5 POA figures, but these new sets will be the last thing 5 POA fans will get for a long time.
But Hasbro doesn’t just repack old figures here. To sweeten the deal all 5 POA figures receive photoreal updates (unless it’s a masked character) and some sets also get droids never released in the line before, or for the first time released in a realistic style. Click through to see all the new 5 POA figure sets revealed today!
