While The Rise of Skywalker, and the sequels in general, prefer to give us old designs or only slightly tweaked Original Trilogy designs, featuring the well known X-, A- and Y-Wings and TIE Fighters, the spin offs and now also the upcoming The Mandalorian prove that Lucasfilm can still design new things.
